Like you said, the world is not Tiger's Den. That's all you need to know.

I frequent TigerFan BECAUSE it isn't full of idiots bashing everything LSU. There's a lot of realism here. I guess since you started this thread in the Tiger's Den, it leads to the assumption that you're talking about people here. After all, are your friends from work gonna see this thread? If not, then what's the purpose?

That's not the version of the pumper I consider myself. I am not so purple that I refuse to see fault in the coaching and team. I am not so gold that I think only my views are right. Though I choose not to loom on the negatives of this team because it ruins the joy I have of the game.

I know this team and coaching staff isn't perfect, but mist threads about the imperfection are usually just rants and when clear facts are presented fights break out lol.

It is easier to bitch than say something positive, therefore people bitch.

There are things Miles does that makes me very frustrated. The offense production the last few years is the most frustrating. However, we could do a lot worse than Miles (which i think is the spirit of this thread).

Nebraska thought coaches would be beating down their door for that job when they fired their HC. Turned out no one wanted the job and it went to an assitant coach at LSU.

Look how Michigan has slid back with the most sought after coach in America (at the time).

Notre Dame went and hired the best OC in the NFL and that was a disaster.

I am not a huge Miles fan as a coach and could point out some things i would like him to do better, but his record at LSU is excellent and we could do a lot worse if we allowed fat, half tiger striped shirt guys to pick our next head coach.

:geaux: This! Also, remember when Nebraska fired Frank Solich after 5 yrs and more than 50 wins? What a GREAT move. They got Bill Callahan, which damb near destroyed the program up there! They're lucky to have Pellini up there now who has their program back on the right track. Yeah, we could do worse. And we've had it worse. The grass ain't always greener and as we all know, be careful what you wish for since you might just get it. :LSU231:

    Excellent analogy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Constructive criticism is productive, bitching and complaining is counter productive. My one contention with those that are hell bent on pointing out every flaw with the team is that their conclusion is always the same, "Fire Miles Now". Of which when the time comes, I will be the first in line to help push him out the door, but the time has not come, and there really isn't a viable replacement that anyone can really agree on. The replacement would have to be a step up, and when one looks around the landscape of college football there aren't a whole lot of better coaches out there, and none that I can think of that would make themselves available. Especially if we fire a 10+ win avg/season coach.

Those who are considered pumpers actually add to the fire they criticize others for "starting" by starting these countless sarcastic threads about Miles' "terrible coaching record". I am neither supporting Miles nor criticizing him, I am just stating facts.
