GEAUX TIGERS!!! I don't really care that we open with McNeese State. We've opened the last several years with tough opponents. I'm just ready to see some real, meaningful football. And I hope Harris is "much improved", as CLM would say! Here's to hoping for a damn strong season!
I expect to see Harris start and I expect to see Jennings in the second half. Maybe even a reserve in the fourth--the freshman McMillan (who they may want to redshirt) or the senior Kragthorpe (perhaps his best chance to get on the field in his senior year). Cameron is not going to throw the ball much if we take a big lead. So Harris has to shine early before its Handoffville. All four running backs will play. The blocking tight ends will get a workout. Defense has got to look sharp. They have a lot to prove with a new DC.
Harris needs to play thru 3 and Jennings the 4th.if we're up 4 scores and seven years ago. Les may throw more than 30% of the time to get Harris reps. But not much more.
I wouldn't take Harris out unless we go up 50. If the excuse last year was Jennings needed as much work as possible the excuse this year should be Harris needs as much work as possible.
As thin as we are at QB, we need both of these guys in playing shape for any game. I'd like to see the second guy get a drive in each half in each game that ain't neck and neck.
I don't mind Jennings playing the 4th Quarter. We will need him at some point this season. We always need that 2nd QB. I just hope Harris is improved, and ready to go.
The depth chart came out and it really confirms nothing. A shit load of "or" is sprinkled all through the damn thing. http://lsu.247sports.com/Article/LSUs-depth-chart-for-the-2015-season-39054724
