I think the same core of (what are they calling themselves now?) minions have been here all along. Regardless of how this season shakes out, you still cannot say "I told you so" about Miles and gain any more respect. Those of us who support Miles do so because he has been successful, and yes, he also has some definite issues. I think we notice them much more because we follow LSU football more closely than any other team. That magnifies deficiencies. That being said, this season, so far, is sucky. And it's been a very long time since it's been that way, so it stings. However, as long as we have our health and our families' health, it's only a game played by college kids, and we shouldn't take it so hard.
Not sure when I "got there" but I know after New Orleans I was not pumping sunshine on Miles. The trends in the program were obvious, he has not changed and will not.
Agreed. The problems are all the same...year after year...season after season. The excuses are the same. The speeches are the same. We can't blame LSU's quarterback woes on Ryan Perriloux anymore. We can't keep blaming the NFL for non-progression and missing tackles. We put so much emotion and money into this university and its teams that it seems to be under a microscope like never before. I've seen a lot of "fans" join the bandwagon after the 03 season, and get pissed and say, "I'm not watching this team anymore." Good. Go watch the Dallas Cowboys you inbred whale vagina.
Kal, I know you have been on the anti Miles side and I know you are an LSU fan and you just want to see improvement instead of the same product every year, and it's not because you dislike Miles it's because you dislike the product. Here's the thing though and I think that you and some others have said this as well, until Miles starts losing games, lots of them, he is staying in BR. Do we really want to be the school who fires the 80% winning percentage coach? Do we really want to be those guys? We are turning into Alabama fans y'all.....can't you see it? Don't worry, be happy.
Decline isn't always shown first in the win/loss record. But yes of course you cannot fire him. I just hope he hangs the whistle up before he starts damaging the foundation that was built before the 2011-12 National Championship game.
