Republicans Mike Lankford and Mike Johnson put together a tough immigration bill... the toughest in a century... that would devote billions to border enforcement. Because it was much tougher than Democrats would normally agree to they were confident it could easily pass into law. Mitch McConnell was all in favor.

But then donald trump decided he didn't want Joe Biden to have any border successes that some republican voters might like, so sent the word to Mike Johnson to kill the bill. Like the asskissing sheep he is, Johnson agreed to drop it.

I THOUGHT YOU SAID THIS WAS A CRISIS? I THOUGHT YOU SAID THE COUNTRY IS BEING INVADED BY TERRORISTS THROUGH OUR SOUTHERN BORDER?

If a remedy can wait until January 2025 THEN IT'S NOT A CRISIS. And you republicans are full of shit.

 

we dont need any bill or new anything. we need to enforce the current laws. we need to stop sanctuary cities. we need to deport those who enter illegally, meaning not applying for asylum at the proper checkpoints.

its simple, we don't need new anything. its already illegal to just walk in, we are not enforcing it. Biden refuses, for whatever reason.

This episode is a good illustration of what the republican party has become... it's not about serving the country, but is a cult of personality. The highest duty of any politician is to protect this country... but instead republicans have said "we WON'T protect this country because our orange master can't afford to allow any policy successes while Biden is in office."

The economy is doing great, the stock market is soaring, inflation is on a steep decline, COVID has been for the most part defeated... republicans NEED a border "crisis" to have anything, whatsoever, to run on.

Rex woke up yesterday and was told by Biden that there is a border crisis. He did not know this before. Biden’s team told Biden that there is a border crisis. He did not know this before.

They said this is an election year and he better act like he wants to do something about it or find a way to blame it on the republicans. Republican Greg Abbott is already doing something about it. This is a bad look for Biden.

For Rex to shit his pants and ‘all cap’ over this now is hilarious. To try to pin this on the Republicans is hilarious. To ignore the border for 3 years and only step up when Biden’s team tells him it is crucial for reelection is sad.

 

When trump was elected he had a republican Senate and a republican House. Why didn't HE solve the border crisis then? He could have passed anything he wanted to. The truth of the matter is that republicans need immigration as an election issue.

The absolute worst year for border crossings during Trump is 3.5 x less than any give month in the pedo admin.

As for credit, that is laughable. Biden won't get credit for shit because not only did he cause this problem, like I told you earlier he could also fix it. If getting some sort of credit were a thing why wouldn't he go on and do it, take the credit? Instead he blames it on Republicans. He won't close it because he doesn't want to
