I got the info from inside LSU with ties to Alleva. Jimbo has said in past that LSU is his dream school and I have heard he and FSU admin aren't too peachy. He feels like he is being handcuffed because won't give him the money to hire the top assisitants he wants and won't give his current assisitants more money. SImilar to what Miles accomplished with his staffs here. He wants that and LSU will liekly have to give it to him just like with Miles if he comes here.
If he sucks when he gets here all the publicity from the hire could backfire. He'd get a few years to right the ship if the team continues mudruckin once he gets here. That said, LSU is a big ship and a lot of these mid major guys would be learning on the job. Those guys would be risky too.
no. this hire smells completely different than any other in my lifetime regarding LSU. they are in a hurry here like they have someone lined up. usually its some stupid search firm or they have some shitty assistant they want to lowball and promote. they think they got jimbo but we wont know for a bit. and they dont want to lose maybe their one chance at getting him. timing is always crucial in these hires. and thanks bhelm.
Simmer down tiredloser the man has done good things at LSU and runs a clean program. Show some respect. But it is time for a change.
I have no faith in the administration's ability to make a new hire. They will fuck this thing up. We will end up settling for some asshole who can't win in the big 10.
