Agreed! People tend to forget the significant contribution made by JL last season after JJ began to be commanding that offense again.
He did redeem himself a little bit against Florida and Tennessee, that is true, but I'm sure even he will tell you, that he hasn't fully redeemed himself from the pick 6 fest his redshirt freshman campaign.
In my honest opinion, Jarett Lee will not have to win games for us. All he has to do is make good decisions and move the chains. If our offensive line can give him time, and we keep a safety net close to him so he can dump the ball off to, we will be fine. This is still a power running team that can throw numerous tailbacks at you. We will win with defense first, and our offense just needs to protect the football and sustain some drives.
I will agree with you if our first opponent isn't as strong and speedy as Oregon. You can't expect our defense to hold Le Micheal James and Darren Thomas for 4 quarters without getting some supports from our passing game. I say it's time for JL to step up, and he must perform better than he did last season in throwing the ball for us to win tough games! Just my wishes, tho.
Just make sure you plant your feet BEFORE you throw! I admire your tenacity, and the fact you've stuck around, uncomplaining, quietly doing your job, with no promises. That shows a real classy individual. Geaux Jarrett!:thumb:
I found this... Lee made some good passes, but d@mn, we had some good receivers. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Siklayj020s]Jarrett Lee Highlights (2008-2010) - YouTube[/ame]
