The other side of that coin is that Lee will probably start next season so let him take his lumps now and learn from them. He's only a freshman. JJ has the entire offseason to learn the offense and prepare as the #1 backup and can be worked into the lineup as next season progresses if it appears that Lee is just not cut out for SEC football.. LSU football will not end after this year. Sometimes you have to look ahead.

What was with Jefferson warming up? Was that supposed to scare Lee into playing better? Why get Jefferson's hopes up? I hope the recruits didn't notice that. (You'll ride the bench, no matter how bad the guy in front of you is)

Early in the season, this is what I called for (i.e., Lee getting as many reps as possible). So I understand your point completely.

But you gotta agree his lack of progression and what appears to be regression is disturbing, no?

If Lee isn't the answer, I don't want to go into next season with another QB with no reps under his belt (i.e., JJ).

I will never understand for the life of me why we did not play him more against Tulane. That would have been a superb opportunity to see what he can do. If Miles does not use him for at least a quarter next week against Troy, he should have his you-know-what kicked.

Did you really expect more than 10 wins this season?

I agree with you and thought we'd lose probably 3 games but the season aint over yet, we could win the next 3 or lose more games.
Even if we lose 3 games I didn't know we would be giving games away.
If your having a rebuilding year and your starting qb isn't getting it done you should at least play your other qbs win or lose.
That seems fair to me, winning or losing is more acceptable than a coach who seems to stick with one player no matter what.

Let's just assume JL stays as starter and we lose more games, then what will people say?

Not having Hatch was huge tonight.

I didn't realize how valuable he could be. Lee cannot take every snap. He is fragile mentally and cannot take the pressure. He did much better vs GA knowing he was sharing duties.

The Old Ball Coach would have pulled Lee so fast he wouldn't know what happened.

In speculating next week's game, does Lee alternate with JJ (assuming that CLM will play JJ), or does JJ get the start and Lee sits?
