Precisely why he should hire a real OC and quit meddling. Let the coaches do their jobs.

That's laughable. Some of my most distant memories involve our beloved tigers. I don't base a fan upon his or her opinion. Disagreeing with my viewpoint doesn't make you or anyone else any less of a fan. To the contrary, a fan who takes the time to voice their opinion no matter what it may be exemplifies their concern for the well being of LSU.

How can questioning the team's leadership, especially that of the offense, damage LSU's recruiting? The team's lackluster offensive play will take the real toll.

I agree with basically everything. Except, QB play being worse than last year, it's no worse, not much better, but not worse. Other than that, spot on, spot on.

I fixed it for you. This is what you REALLY meant to say. For some reason, the Miles haters are waiting with eager anticipation for everything to fall apart.

I have no idea why...but I have an uncle who's been waiting for "that day" to arrive since 2005. Of course, he's never liked ANY LSU football coach while they were here, including Saban. You probably didn't like Saban @ LSU, either. And I know you must've hated Charlie Mac, if you're old enough to have had a "Make Mac Pack" bumper sticker.

Mett is a better passer than JL or JJ, but his lack of experience is making him a worse QB than we had last year. I don't remember either fumbling or tripping over their own feet last year--nor were they throwing interceptions in the red zone.

Ok....Miles and Saban are two completely opposite coaches, while both are very succesfull, they are on two different ends of the spectrum, Saban is more of a disciplinarian, which most people like on top of being a very good coach, miles is more of the players coach, who tends to let his players have a little more freedom on and off the field. Both are very succesfull and good at what they do, they just go about it two different ways. Just because you and I rather the disciplinarian that doesn't make him the "better" coach just what we would rather.

The Tigers are 5-0 and in the best position we can be in at this moment in the season....if we win all our games the rankings will be taken care of, sure the wins have been ugly at times but a win is a win. It's like banking a 3 pointer, it still counts. The real season begins this weekend and hopefully our focus and intensity will show in this game. I think Mett has been very good to this point, besides his hideous physical appearance, for the most part he's put the ball where the receivers should catch it. I'm positive our offensive line and penalty issues will get worked out and this game will be a turning point in our season........positive energy Tiger fans!

Oh and it could be much worse, we could be Arkansas......

A chimp could have coached this team over the last five years.

With the talent and defensive coordinators we have had, anyone could have been successful at LSU.

All our current chimp needs to do is find the right offensive coordinator. Then he will be free to eat his banana's, and swing from a tree. :D

I find it amusing that all the folks defending Miles can't bring themselves to admit that our offense hasn't been good for a long time. The play the last two weekends makes it appear that we are in store for another bottom 50 total offense ranking. That's insane - I know we have better talent than that, and if we don't, we should. We don't need the #1 offense in the nation to be successful, we need a solid offense (passing game) to compliment our defense.

Based on history, I'd say we'll be ready for Florida. Based on my feelings after watching the past few games, it's really hard to honestly feel that way.

Maybe your uncle foresees the inevitable and would prefer to witness that inevitability sooner rather than later so that LSU may move FORWARD! Your supposition is way off base. Of course I didn't agree with every little decision that Saban made while at LSU. However, I didn't have any real qualms with Saban. Don't continue on with supposition about me disliking Saban. That is simply not the case and is not evidenced by any of my posts. The above is an attempt to imply that virtually no fan will concur with every decision that a coach makes, be it minute or high profile decisions.

Any attempts to brand me with the typical Saban lover mantra are also unfounded.
