to play in a big game in a hostile environment and not have to be bogged down with the old days of 13 penalties?

Just 5 for LSU today. And very few of them had any 'real' impact on the flow of the game!

Agreed. Of course, that roughing the passer penalty at the end made me think "Here we go..."

 

I felt the same way -- nice recovery by Alem to get the sack the very next play.

Miles' teams have been notoriously highly penalized. But they're winners.

most amazing of all: I think they had the right # of men on the line every play.

They were good for 3-4 of those last year a game.

Obviously without Stewart, no more false starts, too. :grin:
