this is from bcsguru.com 7. LSU (10-2) Remaining game: Dec. 1 vs. Tennessee (SEC championship game) National title scenario: Very slim, but still there. If Missouri and West Virginia both lose, LSU has the best chance of moving up to No. 2 and earn a date with Ohio State. BCS bowl scenario: A win guarantees a Sugar Bowl berth. A loss will drop the Tigers out of a BCS bowl altogether.
The same ESPN that said CLM was going to Michigan???? I hope their # cruncher is correct. Hopefully the "computers and the Polls" will FEAR THE HAT! :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
per bcsguru.com OHIO STATE vs. LSUAMELIA ISLAND, Fla. (Dec. 1, 2007) -- The season of upsets brought up one fine ending ... and a fine mess. But the BCS Guru projects that Ohio State and LSU, two teams that occupied the top spot of the BCS standings for much of the season, will meet in New Orleans in the BCS national championship game. Ohio State will be a comfortable No. 1 against LSU, which will edge out Virginia Tech (No. 3) and Georgia (No. 4) and Oklahoma (No. 5) for the spot. The Tigers' early-season rout of the Hokies, and the victory over a Tennessee team that blew out Georgia should put them over the top. More to follow ...
Very possibly. Although we defeated them, they are ahead of us in the BCS poll. They could very easily maintain their position.
Yes you can too. As a matter of fact, they are ahead of us in the BCS poll despite losing to us 48-7. They could easily maintain their position. The interesting thing is that in all of the discussions of who would be in the NC game, VT never came up. Even Oklahoma was mentioned as a possiblily. But I believe VT could easily end up in the NC game against OSU.
Momentum is already building for an LSU-OSU BCS NCG. If these guys have any influence at all, and I am not saying they do, it's a good thing. People are already musing about who goes to meet OSU and the CONSENSES has been LSU so far. 2 losses in 3OTs each. LSU wins Conference, while UGA and Kansas do not.
So, when we were thinking our "ex coach" Miles was being ridiculous bringing up the "we're undefeated in regulation" argument Monday, he was actually being just as smart as he was back in the summer trashing the Pac 10. That bashing awarded us the #2 preseason ranking. The 3OT argument was picked up and run with by the media today, and his press conference this afternoon made LSU the ONLY team that the talking heads wanted to talk about today. I think our COACH MILES is making sure we whip some Buckeye @$$ in a month.
