You can support a ground war from the air, but you can't win it. You go in on the ground or you let someone else do the fighting.
I'm against putting boots on the ground. We did it before in the middle east and as soon as we leave those chickenshit bastards let some punkass criminal gang like ISIS run all over them. Support them with air power, missiles and drones but those ragheads aren't worth one single more American life.
QUOTE="Bengal B, post: 1478189, member: 513"]We could have but we didn't[/QUOTE] exactly we killed thousands of Germans and Japanese for the sole purpose of breaking their will...these shit bags are not as hard as the Japanese and they folded
shane you and I swallowed the same sand, but I don't equate every Muslim with these turds. theses Bastards have to go and any Muslim who believes their rhetoric then t thier out of the good circle also.
Don't forget that was a world war. It was Total War and it took many years of eliminating their armies and navies and economy at great cost to us in terms of lives and treasure. Japan and Germany were established nations with economies that were wrecked. Isis does not have an economy to wreck. They don't have a population whose will we can break. They are occupying other peoples land and the people there are already broken. ISIS fighters will just fade into the hills and conduct guerrilla warfare as we have seen in Iraq and Afghanistan. Did you forget them already? We bombed the shit out of them and had 100,000 troops on the ground in Iraq and it didn't work. Somebody local will have to step up and do the dirty work on the ground to eliminate them. One of their own, perhaps. Those people over there have to want to be free, and stop putting up with Isis and their shit, just like we did with the British in 1776. We can't do it for them. It ain't . . . our . . . fight. Why should we bankrupt ourselves in doing the dirty work of others? We have enough real troubles with the Russian and the Chinese.
You know talking to some guys who were in the Korean War and in Vietnam and my father in law who was a corpsman, they have all said the Turks were some bad ass hombres. What the hell happened? You would think Turkey and Egypt alone could take ISIS out, especially with us and our allies funding and arming them. What's the hold up?
