    June 3rd and July 15th

However, Wilson could get offered before that if they get more film.

Thanks!! I know we have good secondary, but there is also a strong possibility that we lost Reid and TM7 after next year. That would just leave us with 1 proven starter, Simon. I know we have lots of young guys on the secondary, but none of them were guaranteed to work out, like PP7 or someone like that. can never have too many athletic DBs!!

As far as RB, I have talked to Jordan Huff and he said that Miles told him they would like to take only 1 RB this class; and it's between Huff, Greg Bryant from FL. Huff really wants an offer and already holds one "verbal" offer from Florida St. Greg Bryant is an absolute beast, but I'm not sure how interested he is.

I heard Golden's DL coach left TXAM, so that opened the door back up for Krags cuz Krags used to recruit him when he was at TXAM. And I'm really hoping we offer Wilson soon, because he wants to be a Tiger badly!

With a good year, Simon might not make his Sr. year at LSU. DB's with his size are hard to find.

Krags is a good coach and recruiter.....:tigereye:

True on the DBs but you can't take them all. However, we have taken quite a few here lately. We are going to be very selective. We already might have 3 in this class already with White, Brazil, and Cutrer to go along with all the others we took last class.

Huff is a target who likes LSU but we are going to look at a bunch of guys for that spot. If we offer too early we don't want to get stuck. We have time to evaluate.

Golden will continue to be a target and may earn an offer. We need to get him on campus to for out.

Somewhere around 85% of the guys we take in our classes attend at least one of the camps.

Thanks to everyone for all the feedback! I have to admit that I can be a little ingnorant when it comes to recruiting LOL, especially this early in the process. I follow it pretty closely every year, but this is the first year I've really begun to follow it this early on.

I guess I'm just comparing LSU to some of the other top programs, who just throw out scholorships left and right and see which ones stick LOL. But I know Les is much more thorough with his evaluations, and I would rather that process over the others IMO.

Agreed. I think he's actually more of a true Thorpe candidate than TM7. I expect TM7 to wage his usual warfare on the football field, and be a Heisman candidate again. But it seems Simon is the more likely "lockdown" DB candidate in the Claiborne mold. His ability to cheat and recover separates him and also lulls QBs into a false sense of security. If he could only catch the frickin ball. That kid should've had at least 6 or 7 INTs last year.

TM7 is an um believable playmaker and I believe a pretty good cover corner. But, his size is an obstacle for him as a NFL corner. Big NFL WR will push him off the ball and have their way with him. It happened lots of times this past season. I think Simon has the NFL prototype size and I think TM7 should complete his senior season, because I think he is going to be a "tweener" and a stretch for any NFl team's secondary.

Simon is well beyond "prototype" size for a DB. Very few 6'3 cover guys roaming around. He's more of a freak than a prototype.

TM7 will be a topic du jour in the 2013 or 14 draft, whichever he chooses to enter. I believe his future will be at safety, where he can be insulated from being a pure cover guy, but he's small even for that. The other side of the coin for NFL teams that fret over his lack of size is the dude just flat out makes plays. Sometimes a guy can just play football and you have to ignore that which he can't control. There's always room for that in the league. He has to be given a real opportunity, and he will be. If nothing else, he can make a career as a special teams nightmare and utility DB. I just can't see him being effective at 190 lbs. I think he is what he is going to be size wise. Maybe 5-10 lbs heavier, but just can't see him carrying 190 on his frame.

I agree about Falkins. Very overrated and should probably not be in the top 10 of LA prospects.

Will be interesting to see if Bama ends up getting other top WR prospects that they don't rescind Falkins' offer at that point. Saban loves doing that.

Funny they said the same thing about Emmitt Smith (And the "recruiting experts") about Jacob Hester.
    To small and to slow.

Look at both of them now.
