I firmly believe there's some kind of voodoo curse on opposing kickers in Tiger Stadium. That Oregon State game being the best example. After a while, all of us in the stands would look at each other and say, "He couldn't possibly miss another kick, could he?" He could, though. And who would've thought ALL that rain could come from one smallish black cloud in the sky? I was just happy it was blotting out the sun--at first.
didn't we win the 06 ole miss game on a missed xtra point or a missed kick? and it went to overtime they fumbled and we got it and won. i was there, why can't i remember the details??? did we miss the extra point? i can't remember.
we had an extra point blocked at the end of regulation that would have won it. seems like maybe they missed a FG in OT maybe?
no that's probably right but that team should'nt have been in the same stadium with us and i think they led most of the game. JR woke up with a few minutes left we completed the comeback i think missed the XP that would've made it 21-20 but ole miss went on offense first in OT. fumbled. we got it. ran, ran, ran, and kicked the gamewinner. we looked horrible on defense and our special teams coverage got gashed that game. ultimately if ogeron won that game maybe he would have stayed around longer.
One of my favorite finishes in TS(games i attended). It was a crazy mix of emotions. Low, High, Low, High. maybe second only to the 07 AU game, in which i got put back into the stands after rolling over the bottom wall with a few others.
