I was in the stadium. Place exploded.
yet no mention of any seismograph readings.

was at this game as well. Stadium was never quiet during this one.
started on the 93 yd screen pass UGA pulled out their asses.
grew when Devery returned the following kickoff out around mid field.
went nuts when Skyler caught that pass.
Corey Webster's int on UGA's last drive pushed it over the top.

If I remember right, ESPN named it the "crowd of the year" at the end of the season.

either that, or everyone was too busy helping him pack his sh!t and offering him a one way ride out of town.

I was also at the '95 Auburn game. When Twillie came down with that ball on the last play, half a dozen years worth of pent-up frustration and emotion was finally let loose. "The Magic was Back!".

i've been to most games since 94 and i always list the "bring back the magic" game as one of my most favorite right there with fla 97 and UF 07.

it was loud as hell that night and imo easily as loud as LSU-UF 97, LSU-UGA 03, LSU tenn- 00, LSU-bama 00, LSU-AU- 97, LSU-UF 07, and so on.

but many people around my age don't give that game enough credit.

i also think dinardo gets lumped in with curley unfairly. make no mistake dinardo started what we got goin today. he was part of that.

now THAT was a great game no one ever mentions (prolly 'cause we lost).
    Cecil went off that game.
Wide Richey attempted a 63 yarder (blocked) as time expired.

also without seeing that game (UF 97) in quite a while i can tell you that the loudest moment in that game was tommy banks TD to go up 14-0.

also the longest sustained moment of loudness for me ever in TS was in 07 when they announced the USC loss. it was like 3 minutes of pandemonium during that tv timeout. i thought the place was going to crumble. it was like riding a wave of mayhem.

the crowd was awesome in that game b/c we started in a 14-0 hole and the crowd and cecil brought us back. we lost a barnburner but it was literally the best loss i've ever attended.

just got an email back from Dr.Phillip S Neuhoff of UF Dept of Geology---

"my understanding is that you can see every touchdown on our seismometer. Might want to ask Ry Thomas or Ray Russo in our department for confirmation, though, since they are in charge of the equipment."

i'll let you know if those other guys can confirm it more convincingly.

I'm sure it is much louder during exciting moments throughout the game, and having not played football, I can't really speak to that. Being in Tiger Band, though, I can tell you that during pre-game, if you are on one end of the field or the other, when the band turns away from you, you can't hear them at all. I was in the "L," and whenever we turned to the southeast corner, I could hear nothing but crowd noise.

747 at take off thrust is how I describe it. I was on the field after Skyler's TD in the Georgia game. It was also loud when Oregon St missed that field goal in OT. That is another game that kind of gets lost...there were times when OSU was in the north end zone and when the QB would stop to call an audible the noise would go up like someone turned up an amplifier to eleventy. My ears hurt like the times I've been caught marshaling in a 737 without my hearing protection. Someone mentioned the dB level at the Florida game was 125...pain is what I call it. A jet engine at 100 feet is 140.

    Wisconsin?
