Oh, somebody needs a spanking ...

Against Tennessee ... Hilliard got 1 carry on that quick dive with about 2 minutes left in the 3rd Qtr ... He busted through on a big first down and I watched it and my eyes popped out ... I knew what I'd do if I was coach ... I posted a thread and got laughed at when I predicted Les would be using Hilliard very frequently very soon ... one arsehole even said I didn't know what a dive play was ... Cholly Mac is chucklin in his grave on that one ... I almost always laugh last :hihi:

Look where it's headed now ... Les is doing the aritmetic right ... Ware will see carries and will produce or Les will use Hilliard ... simple as that

Ware is still "ware-ing" them down ... Gotta give this devil his due ... He's not been so amazing since his suspension, but that's cuz he's been getting fewer carries "later in the game" with the emergence of Hilliard ... who has gotten more reps out of necessity (suspension) and because Ware has been playing hurt ... 2 nagging injuries ... FACT ... WARE IS BUSTED UP ... HE NEEDS TIME TO RETURN TO 100% ... Look at the play by play over season and you can easily verify this ... Ware will be necessary in the big game and BAMA will see lotsa Mr. WARE

... Personally, I'm liking the hell outta Hilliard on the Dive Play and Off Tackle runs cuz he hits the LBs with a full head of steam and drives 'em for 5 yards a pop or even more ... He'll do better than TR in the big game in YPC ... mark it ... but we'll still need carries from Ware and I'm banking on a comeback from him in the big game when he's 100%

70% Rushing Plays ... lotsa handoffs to geaux around and no need to start another one of these feuds like the JJ/Lee debacle ... To be blessed with 4 great backs is unheard of ... and Les is truly BLessed

    ----------------------LSU------UA
    FIRST DOWNS---------
    15-------17
    NET YARDS RUSHING--148------96
    Rushing Attempts-----41-------31
    Average Per Rush-----3.6------3.1

    NET YARDS PASSING---
    91------199
    Co m p-A t t-I n t----9-17-2--16-29-2
    TOTAL OFF YARDS-----239------295
    Total offense plays---58-----60

    # Penalties-Yards----7-56-----6-73

You slammed Ware ... but Hilliard had 2 carries for 2 yds against Bama:eek:

    Crunch those numbers ... 58 plays ... 41 rushes ... 41 / 58 = 70%

LSU could rush it 45+ times in the BCSCG against Bama to only 15+ passes ... mark it ... and you will see the triple option ... mark it again!!!

You gonna give Hilliard the rock how many times? :hihi:

    Ramah prediction (BCSCG):
    Ford 15 carries
    Hilliard + Ware = 20 carries ... (10 each if Ware is 100%)
    JJ 10 carries

2010 reference (Mr. Ware is a Beast ... you said ... he still is)
55 / 74 = 74% rushes in Cotton Bowl waxing of TAMU ... Where JJ looked brilliant and Ware was a beast

We all know what Les is gonna deaux ... Saban knows it too ... and there ain't shight he can deaux about it

    ... Dwarf Gumbeaux:hihi:

If it is an injury, he'll have over a month to heal up. What Ware did up until his suspension cannot be ignored. However, Hilliard got his chance to be the power back in place of Ware in the Auburn game, & has literally ran with his chance to be the power back. Not sure when he would've gotten hurt though, so I think it's more of a coach's decision to give Hilliard most of the runs b/w the tackles. I think Ford could be an every down back if he had to be. The guy looks to be one of the strongest players for LSU, & he has a great combo of power & speed. Hilliard is a mule that runs with great pad level. I think the difference b/w him & Ware is that Ware tries to tackle the defenders, where as Hilliard lowers is pads & drives through them, which results in picking up extra yardage, or even blowing the defender up & continuing the play. It also seems like Hillard has tremendous vision, something I think Ware lacks.

Watch T. Magee be the NC MVP running for 160 yds & 3 TD's. HA!

I've noticed the drop off in Ware's performance too. On a few carries it almost looks like he is diving forward into the ground upon contact. I don't see the same spinning, legs churning, runner I did earlier in the year. I hope he gets his mojo back what ever the reason is.
