Interesting read as I was listening to an NFL Personnel on the 790 sports radio show here in Houston Friday talking about Mingo and stated that he was informed that he should return to LSU for his senior year as he will most likely not go until the 2nd round. They based it on the fact they felt he had a down year compared to last year. Course this is just another talking head but it was interesting hearing that and then reading this.

No way in hell...LSU fans expect National Championships. When 5 games are lost next year, LSU fans will make the heat so bad that they will divide the program and if another 2-3 loss season follows that it will lead to firing of Miles. Then Alleva will left to screw up hiring a coach.

I know it's not January 15 yet, but I presume Chris Faulk is coming back? If so that would be GREAT news.

If not, does Collins make the move outside with the big Samoan coming in from JUCO?

Most of us would take 2nd round money in a heart beat rather than risk injury.

Props to whatever the dude decides, but taking 2nd round money will set the dude for life. He is a good honest player and has a great head on his shoulders.

Early on I heard he was considering going pro after what happened to Ciron Black. But nothing recently. I hope he is back, but I won't rest easy until the deadline for declaring.

I think Collins is a natural guard with his pulling ability. They never considered moving him this year despite losing both starting tackles. I suspect they will find a new left tackle. They may also have to find a new right tackle on show pass plays. Alexander had his ass handed to him versus a strong right side DE on pass protection. But he's young and perhaps will develop a pass blocking game. You must play very smart on the OL, you can't just be a road grader.

You know if LSU had scored 10 points in that game it probably would have been a split national championship, the FACT they laid a PERFECT turd/egg whatever you want to call
it COMPLETELY nullifies the fact we beat Alabama at home. 10 years from now NO ONE outside of LSU fans will even remember the FG game in Tuscaloosa, no one will remember who won the SEC nor will they care, the fact that Alabama pounded LSU into the last century is on the trophy for all to see and REMEMBER.

True, even though we lost that game before we played it, tell a bunch of kids in the system they are in that they have to beat a team they already beat on their home field, we were doomed right after the announcement.
