Flynns accuracy has been very inconsistent. One week he is impressive, the next he cant hit the side of a building. Part of that though has been the OLs inconsisntent pass blocking. I like Toliver, but he is young. He still shown the ability to make plays. You right about Byrd though. Doucet is very good but they use him too predictably with the screen passes in the flat. Lafell and the Mitchells have had a ton of problems all year. It was a great year overall. Hopefully LSU can regroup and win the SEC. Then on to a great bowl performance.:geauxtige
I agree with you...I disagree a little bit about the OL...I know they were inconsistent early on, but that is the one part of the team that I think played better as the season progressed.
Yes, they are, especially compared to the competition. It's a down year across the country. No really great teams. That's why teams like Kansas, Missouri, and West Virginia are in the title hunt. LSU was more talented than every team they played, and they played most of them at home. Everything was set up (as much as it can be) for them to go unbeaten, and they lost to two four loss teams, one at home. This is so incredibly disappointing.
Good post Speedy. You pretty much said it all right there. Not so sure the cards will be so well aligned for us in the future and we failed to take advantage. This loss hurts for sure but losing to Arkansas with so much on the line makes it that much more bitter. This game should not have even been close.
