One thing is sure , it was a good thing North Carolina did not bring the 1st team defense . The 2nd thing we know , these teams will be throwing to our left and their right Sep. 11 @ Vanderbilt TBA - - Vandy HAS the game FILM Sep. 18 Miss. State 7:00 pm - - Miss St will be watching game film Sep. 25 West Virginia 7:00 pm - - Oct. 2 Tennessee 7:00 pm - - Tenn startring to think , Rocky Top , Oct. 9 @ Florida TBA - - Down in Gator Country they are saying , "GATOR BAIT , GATOR BAIT !!" Oct. 16 McNeese St. 7:00 pm - - Oct. 23 @ Auburn TBA - - The year of The Tiger Nov. 6 Alabama 7:00 pm - -They are laughing , thinking , LSU WHO ??? Nov. 13 UL-Monroe 7:00 pm - - Nov. 20 Ole Miss 7:00 pm - - Oh yes there is hope after Jacksonville State Nov. 27 @ Arkansas Maybe 3rd or 4th in the SEC West
LONG AND SHORT PASSES, UNTIL WE ARE ABLE TO STOP THEM , . THE SHORT 2 STEPS BACK , FIRE 6 TO 8 YARDS @ A TIME .NO NEED TO RUN THE BALL , .

QUARTERBACK , SAME AS IT WAS LAST SEASON , IF HIS 1ST RECEIVER IS COVERED , HE GETS CONFUSED. That cannot be coached. Is this LSU team really a top 25 team or maybe is it even good enough to be considered a top 50 team . Somewhere between 50 and 25 , maybe . This LSU team could be 6th in the SEC West . Oh YES ,6th, that is the talent level of "THIS LSU TEAM"
that is what I saw last night

Since they went into the game at 21 and beat number 18, I'm pretty sure they are a Top 25 team.

Well for now they are. Hopefully down the road we will be higher but that remains to be seen. I do have concerns about the ability for the team to improve week to week.

I don't think it's certain at all that LSU would not have won if UNC had it's first team intact. Games flow and momentum shifts. It would've been a completely different game. No telling how LSU would've closed it out.

Since we beat a team ranked 18th, I'm going to say yes we are a Top 35 team. Not to mention, a team ahead of both UNC and us lost yesterday.

:geaux: Agree. Also don't think it's certain LSU would have lost had UNC's suspended players played. Looked obvious to me that LSU took their foot off the gas in the second half & it nearly cost them the game in lost momentum and mistakes. That probably wouldn't have happened without a 20 pt lead. Having said that, I didn't like the fact that the Tigers took their foot off the gas. I'd rather see them keep their foot on the opponent's neck when they have a team down by 20. Go from a 20 pt lead to a 30 pt lead if possible. That needs to be corrected, but I'm still glad to be talking about a win today instead of a loss. I guarantee that UNC doesn't feel to happy about their "moral victory" last night. :LSU231:

It it possible that the coaches took advantage of a 20 point lead to look at certain plays or players in a live game situation? That would yield benefits down the road. Or, should they stomp on the accelerator to make the detractors happy for a little while?

LSU will do better than your Tennessee team will, Sully. Lots, lots better.

:geaux: Yeah, I'm sure they did take advantage of the lead to evaluate younger players and I've said that in other posts. Also agree that they experience will be beneficial down the road. At the same time it may have been a little early to do that last night, IMO. It was obvious the team lost some spark & momentum and it almost cost us. Ole Mo is something that's hard to just turn on & off. I would have liked to have seen the Tigers keep the hammer down longer, 'till the 4th qtr anyway. I think that helps a team develop that killer instinct that all good teams need to have to be successful. The Tigers didn't have that last night and that's something that they need to have. But I am glad that some young players got some PT. Just wish it would've been a little later in the game. :LSU231:
