You think rocky top is anoying,you should listen to the shirley q. liquor version of rocky top.

 

I think one of the objectives of a fight song IS to annoy the other team. I guess Rocky Top, FSU's mindless chant and others are successful in that regard. I suppose I'm one of the few outside Tenn. who likes Rocky Top. I even requested it while being in a country music bar in Nashville awhile back.

Congrats on slamming the the thugs from Fresno St. Now take care of Arky and bama.

 

My first exposure to this was a Sugar Bowl of FSU v. Ohio State. They started doing this chant, and we couldn't stop laughing. Then we started spelling out "Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College." Tough to mix in more than a few of these in a quarter. :hihi:

 

Out west the most repetitive and hated song that is repeated over and over and over and over is

"Fight on for old SC"

And since most of those schools have no defenses they have to listen to it about 4-500 time a game.

 

Rocky Top was outlawed by the Geneva conventions and cannot be used on prisoners of war.

 

Texas fight song is pretty bad...especially since it's the ringtone this one tool at work has on his phone. Yeah. He gets a lot of calls.

 

Maybe it's because you're an LSU fan in OK, but I happen to think the OK fight song is one of college football's BEST fight songs.

 

What ever you say , it is a game and it will be played in Knoxville right ? The Tigers had better be ready to play football , the best game of this year ! Tennessee scored more points against Floridia than LSU did , that is what you have to think about . Rocky Top will be played you can bet on it , GEAUX TIGERS !!

 

Hell, I like it. A great, classic country song. I don't blame Tennessee for using it.
