Taking off my purple & gold glasses and trying real hard to be objective, I don't think I can agree. Too much inconsistent play down the stretch in all 3 phases of the game.

As long as the Pac 10 and Big 10 don't have conference championship games the winner of the SECCG should be considered AT LEAST equal to the winner of the MNC game. Even Spencer Tillman on CBS is on board the SEC bus.:geauxtige

I really wanted to play Georgia. They are the higher ranked team and right now the better team out of the two opponents. In order to be the best you have to beat the best. Sorry but making a statement is not beating Tenn. Making a statement is going out and dominating a TOP 5 ranked Georgia team. Wanting to play the weaker opponent is not what a championship caliber(sp?) team wants.

I'm at peace now with the loss. I figured at the beginning of the season we would lose two (Florida and Kentucky) so the being in the hunt for teh national championship was a bonus. I'm happy with the SEC championship but I'd wished Georgia was in there. Sugar will still taste sweet to me.

Because even if your perfect you still need LUCK to win a National Championship.

If you are perfect on the year you will play in the SECC.

Playing in the SECC is like being married to a sex addict super model.

Playing in the National Championship is finding out she is BI

I really would rather have had Georgia as well pjn, but you deal with the cards that are dealt.

We have a lot of posters saying that the entire season was a failure because we aren't in the BCSCG. I'm just saying, especially judging by the Ken - Tenn game, that man it's hard to win a game in the SEC much less the Championship.

Having said that I would also never trade a SEC Championship for a National Championship. I just think an SEC Champ. is quite an accomplishment.

Did you not see the game last night? SEC play has decimated this team to the point of them having to play 3rd string D line players. Being realistic we can beat Tenn. next week and have a long time to heal before the bowl game. Then we can make a statement by beating whoever like we did against ND last year and get a good end of season ranking to start off next year. LSU is NOT going to play for the NC game this year and people need to accept it and MOVE ON. Winning out WILL make a statement and 12-2 ain't too shabby!
