Probably nothing but I sure don't like it when this type of stuff is in the news. I don't trust the NCAA as far as I can throw Tiger Stadium. http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nca...family-break-ncaa-rules/ar-BBmT45U?li=AAa0dzB
so does "they gave Price and the Fournettes" mean things were given to the Fournettes directly? or was it all given to Price and "the Fournettes" was just tacked on because of association?
Nothing was sold and the website was closed in one day after LSU compliance people talked to them. Fournettes name, photo, and likeness was never used. There is no NCAA case here. NCAA rules prohibit using an athlete's "name, image, or likeness" to profit. The shirts and website only said BUGA Nation. I always thought that was stupid, but it ain't illegal. LSU asked them to stop using LSU colors out of an abundance of caution.
This was over a year ago and already handled by LSU and NCAA. The writer of the article is the only media guy I know who had his credentials stripped by LSU many years ago. Looking for more clicks on his content.
That's what Matt Moscona said yesterday. Still, for this to be brought up at this time I have to suspect some bama booster is behind it.
No worries.....nothing happens to LSU here, but USC will lose 2 schollies for next year. 1 year has passed? Trust me....that's nothing. The NCAA took 5 years and participated in plenty of bullshit before they screwed USC over.
