Really creating homegrown terrorists by sending informants into poor neighborhoods to solicit broke minorities to commit acts of terror here in the United States? Has anyone seen the Newburgh Sting documentary? And apparently this is not an isolated case. The FBI, is choosing targets, choosing weapons, and creating a circus sideshow to make themselves look like they are winning this so called war on terror. Meanwhile they miss the Boston bombers, and really luck out with the underwear and Times Square dudes. Here is more information. Some of their terror bust have smelled. Those busted may have been easily turned but much of what I read is that they are not involved in any way until the FBI comes in. The FBI has been a schizoid organization since J Edgar. They do some wonderful work right along side scary black ops shit like this.
BTW this isn't a political thing, . More like a rogue part of the organization...they do it with R and Ds in office and it seems without much oversight by the politicos.
And that's the thing, maybe these guys would rob a bank, or something in the future, but none would have ever been caught up in a terrorist plot had the FBI not lured them into it.
I don't know if this made the national news but in the fall of 2011 I was in the Boston area. Some Muslim guy got arrested for a plot to fly model airplanes loaded with explosives into buildings. It turned out the guy was a real idiot and broke. I don't remember whether it was the FBI or the State and local police who gave him the money to buy the model airplanes and supplied him with non working bombs. Then they swooped in and hauled him off to jail. The thing is that the Muslim did have the intent to perform a terrorist act. He just wouldn't have had the means to advance his plot as far as it went without the help of law enforcement. Were his rights violated or maybe he would have been frustrated by his inability to use the planes and would have gotten a gun and started shooting people? Now would you approve or disapprove of the following scenario? Say an FBI undercover agent joins the Ku Klux Klan. The agent comes up with a plan to kill a prominent black person. The Grand Dragon or Imperial Wizard or whatever they call themselves is reluctant at first but the agent keeps it up and eventually talks him into it. The the agent supplies the money, guns and plans to the Grand Dragon and several of his Exalted Cyclops's. Then the FBI busts the whole group. Or if it was another group of wackos like Nazis or skinheads and the plot is to kill a Jewish person. Would you sympathize with the FBI or the crazies?
This is the equivalent of my fire department giving gas to a known arsonist. Give him an addres to burn. Then extinguishing the fire and turning him in to make ourselves look good.
You're equating Muslims with the Klan. The common denominator here is the FBI. I'm no fan of Islam, nor the Klan, but this is the equivalent of going to the Westboro baptist church, finding the nuttiest of the nuts, and talking them into blowing up an abortion clinic or a gay church for cash, providing the location, the bombs, the money to do so, time, place, vehicles, idea, everything, even though none of this would have happened had the FBI not gotten involved.
after 9/11 they changed, at the direction of the DOJ, from reactive to proactive because of all the lives lost.
they are the common denominator because their job is, among other things, to fight domestic terrorism.
