Last year, we went w/ some friends from GA for the first part. Due to work, we left after both LSU and GA played. Sam and his daughter went back up since GA won early to see their next game. It's a bit easier for us here in Wichita Falls in that it is 600 miles to Omaha (funny tidbit: it is the exact same distance from my house here in WF to Omaha as it is from my house here in WF to Alex Box!). A good trek none-the-less, but still doable. To answer the original question, I think it is too long. Not many fans can afford to stay for the entire 10 days. ....One of the best memories from last year.... people hiding out in the port-a-potties during a really violent thunderstorm as we stood in line for tickets to the first LSU game. those things were a hot commodity!
I also think it's too long, and I liked it when the championship game was on a Saturday afternoon on CBS. For that matter, I miss the days of the old Regionals. I'm still not a fan of the Super Regional format.
me too. on both counts. i kinda like the super regional format. its just the cws format that irritates me.
Think about how many college baseball fans are out there who have no opinion at all on CWS formatting at all and aren't even irritated !!:hihi:
even when LSU was winning their 5 NC's i wished it was a true double elimination. not this best of 3 or one-game takes it all. if on one side texas goes undefeated and LSU gets there losing once, LSU should have to beat texas twice with LSU losing once. edit: once not twice
