Congress is now considering pay cuts for our active duty military. Unbelievable! They give themselves raises for screwing up the country. And want to cut the pay of the men and women doing theirs.

gyver I agree cutting military pay is criminal but it wasn't congress that voted themselves a pay raise it was BHO. In fact the house and senate i think voted not to take the raise if the sequester was implemented.
Also I heard Dick Durbin say that the sequester would cut other military benefits and when challenged claimed to be abl to do nothing. Typical D using fear as a prod and picking the most vunerable as targets.

N Korea and Iran are gearing up with nukes. China is expanding their military, particularly the navy. And we're cutting back defense spending while arming and giving other countries billions of dollars. Shit doesn't make sense.

Not true. Pinetta has recommended that pay raises be limited to 1%. Military pay, especially for career officers and NCO's is very good and has been for some time.

Red for any other government institution such a raise would be consdered a cut because it is less than the "automatic 4% increase year over year". That is what Ds use to clobber the Rs anytime they ask for a reduction in the rate of increase.

I'm glad that you agree that the statement was untrue and the the military will be getting a raise this year.

That is what I said in the first place Red that means YOU agree with me. What I also pointed out was that in normal D patois that would be considered a 3% cut. As you rally to the Ds you now will obviously agree when similar comments are made about other reductions in the rate of increase. In other words a 1% increase (as opposed to a 4% increase) is NOT a cut no matter where in the budget it is made.
