Now the pivotal game? Many said or atleast thought we'd see an opened up offense in the UGA and Gator games, and we faired pretty poorly. The bright side is I think our D is now on the same page and will progress even better going into the second half of the season. But... With the 2 week preparation for Auburn, and the fact Auburn has a fairly poor defense, what happens if things aren't fixed or attempts aren't made on offense? We faired great @ 5-1 in the first half of the season but now we face the main course... and half to basically win out. If things aren't fixed and we see the same offesnive issues, is Crowton done?
Yes. IMO we have to show improvement on offense to win this game and have a chance the rest of the season. If we do win and the offense performs better, the NOV 7 game is the pivotal game for all of the RIGHT reasons.....mainly because we will be competeing for an SEC Championship. If we lose to Auburn, it will prove to be very pivotal to GC, assuming it was the lack of offense again.
LSU can win or lose all their remaining games except for Tulane, which they'll win. Gary Crowton needs to hope the Tigers go at least 4-2, and even that might not be enough to save his hide. LSU's offense is currently 108th in the nation. They'd better get into the top 65 or so by December, or else Crowton's done. Yes, it all starts at home vs. Auburn. ldskule:
yes. no matter what the team looks like the rest of the year, most sane reasonable fans picked 9-3. if LSU wins its home games, that will happen. but i think AU is a big first step to that happening. la tech and tulane should happen so that leaves AU and arky. i think if LSU loses to AU, we could have a season similar to last season but if LSU beats AU takes some momentum and plays bama tough but loses its in a spot where they could win one of the next two vs ole miss and arky for a 9-3 season. with as bad as this team has looked at times, you can't argue with 9-3 in a perceived "reloading" year.
9-3 and Crowton may get a shot a 4th year gig, who knows what that would hold.. nothing to go off of :hihi:
The next game is always the most critical game. The only "improvement" I want to see at the next game is a W. The time for improvement and momentum are over. Win it. Even by the skin of your teeth. Get by AU. Warm up against TU and bring everything into the Bummer game to pull off the upset. I don't care how pretty. Win the next three.
I'd say the chances of Auburn winning this season in BR are less than 10 percent .... I hate to admit it, but I expect LSU's groundgame to be a bit more than Roof's D can handle, especially if the injury bug continues to stick around. I'd say it'll be LSU 31 - AU 21 ... in a game that won't be as close as the score indicates.
Nice prediction... but Auburn worries me out of all of the teams we'll face from here on out. Their good or atleast I thought they were until they played Arky last week... but they have a good offense against our good defense... would make for a good match up... but then they have a crappy defense to our crappy offense... again another good match up... but Auburn is a trap game imo.
