This panel of fourteen Sports Illustrated writers has Auburn at #16 They have Georgia at #26 Sports Illustrated's College Football Playoff Bracket - NCAA Football - SI.com
I would think so, given teams with a loss are ahead of Auburn. It has, however, been beaten into my head how we are dreadfully thin at several key positions, and some of our front line does not have much if any real experience. If we keep winning I might begin to complain that we are not ranked or ranked higher. For now, I am just enjoying the improvement and appreciate what I am seeing on the field. Even when the D is out of position and missing tackles. The guys look like they are having fun again. It is a start.
and Cal got stomped by an unranked team. how do they stay in the top 25, much less be ahead of a 4-0 SEC team like Auburn? b/c polls are subjective and suck, that's why.
Iowa wasn't ranked either until they beat a # 5 team on the road. Folks who follow Iowa know we started the season with three starting OLmen out, our all-american tight end out, two cb's suspended or injured... and started Paki O'Meara at tailback in place of injured Jewel Hampton (now out for the season). Should we have kicked butt anyway? Probably. Should Iowa be # 13? ... beats the hell out of me.... should Auburn be ranked? Sure, why not? The polls are a joke this time of year... and often still have humor in week 12.
