I got the feeling Jackson was a lean to LSU before Nick left, but that he really like Miles. Now that Miles is here, I would agree we have to be the odds on favorite for his services, considering he was comfortable with our RB situation and now the new HC too. I read on anothef forum that Jackson is lifelong fan of UT, but that he didn't think he would play much there so he was looking elsewhere. They also said UCLA coach Eric Bienemy was recruiting him hard, and he likes Eric....and also that Bienemy was rumored to be going to UT soon. If that happens, we may lose him to his favorite team because they say Eric is an ace recruiter.
I heard that Texas had wanted him at DB and wasn't going to let him play RB, despite the fact that he would commit there in a second. I'd say we have a pretty good shot at getting him.
