What Mr. Horry WILL have that most of the Hall of Famers WISH they had is no less than SIX RINGS. :thumb: There can't be more than a handful'o'them fellers in there with more.
Stumbled acroos this while looking for the LSU fan catch that OrlandoTiger wants. Here is his top 10 playoff moments.
Pretty good. My favorite was the second to last when the Lakers were playing the Kings. They had been down by 25 earlier in the game and 18 in the 4th quarter. Their first and only lead of the game was his 3 at the buzzer.
Right on. If the Spurs when it all this year, he can always boast that he's won more rings than Jordan.
My thoughts exactly. Horry has been placed in the spotlight because of big shots made in big games. But you can't expect a player--a ROLE PLAYER AT THAT (which is what he is now, and has been for half of his career) to be a HOF'er, IMO.
The Robert Horry Game (game 5 of 2005 NBA Finals) was outstanding. I saw 2 plays in this video from this game. The lefty dunk and the 3 when Rasheed left him wide open.
As most have stated, his stats don't support an HOF induction for him, but there's got to be a place reserved for him as one of the best players in playoffs/finals history.
I've never been to any of the sports Hall of Fames but would think Horry deserves some sort of display or corner dedicated to his big playoff moments. He doesn't deserve to be inducted but has there ever been an average player that had such big moments? I can't stand Pete Rose but think he should be inducted into the baseball HOF. Since it's become obvious in recent years that he cheated on baseball, his display should just talk about it and tell the story. Show his baseball moments and stats but also set aside at least a significant space to discuss the negative stuff.
