I love and applaud what Richt did.

It was the only thing to do in that situation. The officials turned a blind eye to it all. Richt took matters into this own hands. Just imagine Auburn takes out their future stud QB with a devastating ACL injury. Not cool.

I have new found appreciation and respect for Mark Richt.

This I agree with. When UGA's bench cleared I was waiting for a brawl. Richt did a great job of getting his kids under control, and his standing up for his players is most definitely a great move on his part. Players and fans earn a new respect when they see that. I know I did.

You guys are freakin blind. Richt escalated it and he's the coach! What team ran on the field and what team stayed on the sideline? Who was out front of their team? Its an embarrassment for the SEC and Richt is as guilty as Aub. Two wrongs dont make a right. They both shamed the SEC.

Not disagreeing with you, but are you sure the AU bench didn’t clear, I didn’t see them show the AU side of the field during that explosion. With the exception of when they showed Trooper come out to the middle and fist bump Fairly then waive him off so he didn’t get ejected. Not saying they did or didn’t, I just didn’t see them show one way or the other. The camera angle was from that side of the field facing the UGA side, so it was only showing what was going on at the point of the fighting towards the UGA side of the field. That’s all that I saw, although I may have missed it.

I am blind as crap, because Nick Fairley snuck up on me and took my eyes out.

You have a point, 2 wrongs don't make a right, but at that point with the way Fairley was playing, I didn't mind, and it would have been nice to see someone take his knees out.

You know good kids like Sam Montgomery are sitting on the sideline injured while thugs like Fairley are able to go out every game and deliberately try to injure people. It ain't right.

I know 2 wrongs don't make a right, but I think in this case with so many talking about how dirty Fairly and others on the AU team are, much of the public would back Richt on this one.

yep. and as much as i hate to admit it, i hope both of them are telling their players to take fairley out before he can take their qb out.

because one way or another, fairley needs to be taken out of the game before he seriously hurts someone. and i mean a career ending serious injury. if the sec (phuck slive) wont do what is right, then its up to the coaches to protect their players.

because as long as fairley is in the game, its not a matter of if a serious injury is gonna happen, its when.

Heres the thing gang, everyone is letting their hatred of Fairly and the suspicions about Newton cloud what was happening on the field. I was fortunate enough to have a co-worker on the sidelines. We do a ton of business with Auburn (unfortunately its not my account, big $$ commissions there) and got an interesting perspective that backed up what Danielson said very early in that game. I think it was the first quarter when Verne commented on the personal fouls and Danielson said something to the effect "its being led by Mark Richt". Georgia was goading and smack talking from the opening kickoff. The CBS sideline crew was telling the booth what was going on. The DB who Newton biotch slapped on that one run was heard saying "yo daddy is nuttin but a pimp". When Richt sent out the hit squad on Fairly Richt himself was leading the charge on the field and all the players where following him.

No, sorry. I have no respect for Richt. Fairly is a POS but Richt is only slightly less of a POS.

Unfortunately, he's exactly the kind of dlineman the NFL likes....i can almost guarantee there are a lot of nfl def.coordinators hoping that he will be available when the draft comes around....yes, he is a dirty player..but he is not the first and wont be the last.....illegal **** goes on all the time by a lot of athletes at different positions....some you see, most you dont...for those of you thats played the game know exactly what im talking about......

He will be the next Albert Haynesworth. Overpaid to play a few snaps, constantly suspended for dirty play, and fined, and will be a huge waste of money and talent, and time.

Remember what Haynesworth did to Andre Gurode (spelling?) of the Cowboys, stepped on his face and twisted his foot to grind his cleats in Andre's face.

That sums up Fairley, did you see the first hit on Murray when Fairley took his own facemask and tried to grind it on Aaron Murray's face when he was getting up?
