however, CLM and the UM AD have a great relationship, he may have not been contacted directly but I promise he has been in contact indirectly, he has NOT said he was staying or leaving BR (a whole lot of coach speak though), he HAS said UM is his dream job, and ....this according to Chris Landry who has personally spoken to those involved with the UM hiring process....CLM HAS made it know that he would be interested in talking about the UM position if it were to open. look...its his dream. its been the primary goal of his career. not saying he stays or goes but you have to believe he knows this is his LAST shot should UM offer.
If I were a highly paid and successful college coach and LSU was in trouble and needed a coach I would come running. That reasoning may hold for any other school, but not for the alma mater that you love.
There are schools everywhere. Coaches are used to moving around. Nick's kids were in school, too, remember? Who says? They paid to get Rodriguez and they will pay to get Les if they want him. Michigan is a big school with deep pockets and they are starting to understand that if they want to compete with the SEC, they will have to pony up. Detractors are still here, too. They are everywhere. Les doesn't give a rat's ass. This is the biggest reason for Les to stay. He may not want to rebuild at this stage in his career. His record will be better at LSU, his recruiting will be better at LSU, and his championship prospects are better at LSU. The SEC is still Valhalla for NCAA coaches.
I think if Les would just come out and say the following, he could nip this talk in the bud. "I have no comment about Michigan. I have a want at LSU and the fans and players have deserve. I will respect their deserve. My name is mentioned for the Michigan job because they want a Michigan Man and I have been both. We have a football game to play and we will play right up to the final seconds. That’s where my focus is and it plans on staying there." I mean... why drag this on....
From the radio show last night: @LSUCoachMiles on speculation about Michigan job: "I'm probably best suited to this (LSU) environment."
Within 48 hrs we should know the answers to a few questions:a) whether Miles is staying or going, b) whether GC is staying or going, c) how big of a contract extension LSU had to fork over to keep Miles.
Wow...nothing like a battle of wits with an unarmed hick. Amusing. I did Google "jackwagon" and it means "when something goes awry". I would say what went awry was your "wit" since yours is missing. Perhaps it would be advantageous for you to use a dictionary which would be followed by looking something up on Google before you misuse a word you're trying to be clever with. But I digress, I would just like to say after tonight's game, we will buy your coach and bring him home. You can't afford him and you certainly will never have the means. You have sullied him enough. Good luck in your bowl game tonight. Enjoy.
Great.. Nothing like this story inviting people from the North to come on our boards and insult us by calling us Hicks, etc.... How predictable...
It was a cultural reference, dumb@$$ [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFgiUm4lQig"]YouTube - R. Lee Ermey Geico Commerical[/ame]
So I don't guess you saw the Gieco commercial with R. Lee Ermey? You don't have to come on here and try to put down where we come from when you are from Michigan. I mean if you were from Dallas, or Miami, New York, or Los Angeles, London, or Paris, Amsterdam maybe.... But you are from Michigan. Really, my wife lived there for a few years and said it was the most miserable place on the planet. Not to mention there are no jobs there, you want to talk about a Greasy town??? How about Detroit, and Flint?? New Orleans post Katrina looks like the Garden of Eden compared to those dumps. But I digress, hope you guys find a coach, I have nothing against Michigan football, traditional power, I respect that. Hope it isn't our coach but if it is, you got a good one, and we will continue to be LSU. Have a great day..
