I am one of those whackos that actually thinks LSU has a championship caliber team NOW. The only missing piece is not a QB, but a fan base that believes in them, is united behind them, and send the message to the team through unconditional support that we back them through thick an thin. What we have instead is a divided fan base that can never be satisfied with winning (if we don't win by enough points or don't play a perfect, error-free game) and will do nothing but complain about the coaches, individual players, or game play right up until they would get invited to the BCS game.
Aside form forum bull****, the fan base isn't divided. I would bet that every game they will cheer and hope the tigers play good football. Though there is a group who EXPECTS perfection. Get to the SEC champ game and you wont see a tighter group of fans!
I don't know. The forums are definitely more "emotive" about this (and this aint the only one by a long shot), but I think it reflects the mood of the fan base. Miles may not be on the hot seat with the AD, but his seat is warm with the fans. I don't think there's much doubt about that.
