this school where kickers go to die? i mean not to sensationalize but let's just look at how it's gone the last few years. andre boagny from zachary. was hitting 60 yard fields goals and consistently booting the ball out of the back of the end zone when he was in high school. sure he hurt his acl playing soccer but he never kicked a ball for our football team. josh jasper was a 3 star recruit as a kicker, yet he can't kick the ball past the 10!? andrew crutchfield can't even see the field and he too was a 3 star recruit. drew alleman is another local guy who in high school was consistently kicking the ball out of the back of the end zone and hitting 50+ yard field goals and according to buddy songy he can't hit the 15 yard line in practice. now our place kicking isn't all that bad and punting last year wasn't all that bad either with the exception of pooch punting. this year after game one though, punting looks horrendous as well as kick offs. what is lsu doing to these guys/what are these guys doing at lsu to make their skills at kicking go down so far?
It's a different game in college - different placement of the ball, faster return guys, etc. But your point is well taken - I have a hard time understanding why SOMEONE on the team can't kick the damned ball 5 yards deep in the EZ. It's not like no other teams are doing it because they are.
How about Mo Isom (freshmen, er women) the goalie on the LSU soccer team who kicked a 90 yard goal the other night.:thumb::rofl:
Nope...I'd give it a month and she would be saying someone raped her. No girls on the football team please. Remember what happened up in Colorado?
hey, as long as she can kick it into the endzone. bad joke. i hope all you are safe, it's 4 am and i just got back from my hurricane party to no bad weather at all. let's hope it stays this way.
id be willing to wager that every kicker on the team could consistently put it 5yds into the endzone. but the returns would be better, so the coaches want them to kick it to a corner and with some height. yet, this doesnt explain why lsu doesnt have a kicker that can do this while many other teams do.
