They could play Bama ONLY this season and have 11 weeks to prepare... they don't have the horses to beat Bama.

crazier shit has happened. I gotta hold on to hope. Especially its the Saturday after Turkey day, you just never know how these guys will come out and maybe make a ton of turnovers and play like shit. That's the only way. It's not gonna be because Auburn goes and wins it, it's gonna be because Alabama just goes out there and is a dumpster fire and shits the bed.

It's the VERY LAST consideration after all others are exhausted.

I've seen bigger upsets. I doubt it happens but when you go from playing for a National Championship to NOT playing for it, who knows, maybe even Utah could beat Bama...oh wait.

Bama will beat the living $hit out of Auburn, because they still have a shot at the BCSCG. But they have to win out. Even then I'm not sure they would get in and this is payback for Scam beating them at BD two years ago. Trust me , they haven't forgot about THAT loss to the barners!

Yeah it sucks because I think the Iron is usually a day game, meaning Kansas State would still have a week until their last game of the season, and Notre Dame plays USC the same day as the Iron Bowl for their last game of the season at 8. So Alabama has to win, and watch, and hope Texas beats Kansas State, and USC beats Notre Dame. Unless they drop games next week. Then it's just madness. And Oregon could lose also, they are suspect on defense.

    They did.

But, it's true that if Alabama were to not show up to the stadium for the Iron Bowl, thus forfeiting, then LSU owns the tie-breakers.

People keep saying that stranger things have happened than the barn beating bama, but I honestly don't think they have. I've watched both teams play multiple times, and the barn is a damn fine high school team.
