Rick Flair ain't da man.....I am. Just ask my wife she's always calling me "da man". (Only thing is....she spells it differently....D-U-M-B M-A-N :rofl
Maybe our Defense is that good... Maybe they are going to make many a good O look like they have regressed...
Maybe. I think it's more along the lines of the game is pretty much still a practice dressed up to look like a game. Stats at the scrimmages aren't that great either. FWIW I think our defense is going to give teams fits this year.
is that like when you were a kid and your grandpa would pull some candy or a five dollar bill out of his shirt pocket? or is that the banana in the pocket/are you happy to see me spiel? guess i just have too much time on my hands today... but seriously, i think that JJ improving his "pocket presents" is almost mandatory for him to have a decent season. he needs to learn how to not panic, but the coordinator (crowton? gonzales? miles?) needs to do a better job of game planning for JJ. they need to have an escape plan for him. you need to have a receiver or a back for him to ditch the ball to instead of him taking a sack all the damn time. even if the play is for no gain, or even a couple yards lost, it's better than taking a 10, 15, 20+ yard sack when it's already second and long. i'm optimistic though. why? well because it seems that everything that could have gone wrong for JJ last season did. of course i'm not saying that he had a "meltdown" type of a season -- far from it -- but when the offense was an inept as LSU's was last season, there is no where to go but up. and honestly, as bad as our offense was last year, we were very, very close to having a great season by any, and all, accounts.
