Is it too early to do a preseason top 5 for 2011?

OSU, Michigan St, and Wisconsin are possible from the B10.
    Oklahoma from B12.
LSU, Auburn(mostly as a courtesy), Alabama from SEC
    None from BEast
    Oregon and Stanford from Pac10
    TCU and Boise Non-AQ
    Notre Dame from Indy
    VT and FSU from ACC

There's 14 there and I think that the top 10 is in there. Not sure what order though. They aren't who I think is a top 10 team, only who I think voters will put there.

They were, but contrary to all the "they dont have depth", GP has ALWAYS played alot of people. All the RB's are back, the next QB has been there, is bigger, much faster, and actually has a stronger arm. All Patterson wants is a QB to not lose games and manage the game plan.
Ol takes good hit w 3 seniors to include Rimington winner at center. WR takes big hit w 5 seniors but two of the "stars" were actually former walk-ons. That is another area GP differs from most coaches, he will play the BEST player at every position, he does not care how they got there. I often wondered this year WHY Miles never played Bailey..........I cannot believe he would have played any worse than who he replaced.

Personally I see a rebuilding year as this is the largest class that had so many seniors that played a large part. In past years he would be replacing them with guys just like them (recruiting rankings), that is changing. TCU used to never be anywhere close to a ranked recruiting class, that also is changing, winning and facilities as we all know will bring them.:geaux:

Robert Smith of ESPN says his top 5 are:

    1. Oklahoma
    2. Florida State:huh:
    3. Alabama
    4. Oregon
    5. Texas A&M :rolleye33:

I think there may be a huge crack problem at ESPN studios.

OU will be a good team but Im sick of them being so overrated every year. I laughed at Robert Smiths rankings. He is the biggest idiot at ESPN. The best one was A&M. He mentioned how they returning a lot of players. Well LSU is even younger and just spanked their ass.

You know what gets me real stoked about next season, and makes me a little more comfortable, other than Miles staying???

The fact that if you watched the Cotton Bowl, other than the praise for what they have done in their career and what they could do at the next level.... How many times did you hear these 3 names during the actual game..... Patrick Peterson, Kelvin Sheppard, Drake Nevis.....

I can't remember hearing them call their names, unless they were talking about accolades.

Not much, unless they were talking about doing a good job against Peterson. I'll tell you a few names I did hear a lot, though: Simon, Mathieu, Reid, Loston, and Ware.

Don't forget Claiborne. We just didn't hear his name much because he left the game early. :(
