Ok now hear me out...(alot of yall didnt do that when I posted the QB change thread) Is it to late for Miles from a professional level to bring in Jefferson to play? What if Jefferson comes in to a game and single handly takes over a game and wins it by himself. Then proceeds to put up unbelieveable numbers for the rest of the season. (GRANT IT THIS IS A PRETTY BIG "WHAT IF") If this was to happen Miles looks like the biggest jackass in the history of college football....a move like this would make Lou Holtz look smart! He is already taking flack for the co-DCs for him to not see a talent that could be in Jefferson would all of a sudden put him on the end of a short leash. For the sake of his job he might have to make Lee his scapegoat and ride him the rest of the season. I know this is really far fetched but its something that crossed my mind after hearing his post game comments and hearing him basically throw Byrd (without saying his name) under the bus for the pass that was 2 yards behind him and he got plowed in the back and the ball was tipped. Sounds to me like he is backing Lee and thats the end of it. Kind of makes me think!
Didn't Tyrell Pryor unseat the guy who played us in the NC last year? I say give him a shot. But I find it hard to believe Miles is compromising the team for his career. If anything, he's loyal to fault/stubborn.
Like I said it may be far fetched...but it is widely known that Miles is not known for being the brightest christmas light on the strand. If he was sitting on a gold mine this entire season the media and fans would be unmerciful!
I just don't know anymore. These past two games have really put a damper on the little faith I had in the kid. I think Miles is probably thinking like I and probably half of the rest of the crowd that was against you was thinking...that sooner or later, he'll have a breakout game. The kid was showing promise, but these last two games have found him SO OFF-TARGET it's not even funny. And Byrd does deserve a little credit for that INT...even if he had to turn around, that ball still hit him in the chest and bounced off before he was even touched. He's supposed to be a great receiver. Great receivers make those catches for struggling QBs. Instead, it's going the other way. But make no mistake...I'll be hard pressed to find much more defense for the kid and his performance tonight. By the third quarter, he was flat-out misfiring. He couldn't even throw to the flat and come close to his target... But whose fault is it, really? If he's clearly not playing well, then WHY TORTURE HIM, YOURSELF, THE TEAM, AND THE FANS BY KEEPING HIM IN THE GAME??? I finally agree with you, JJ...time to play number 9. Lee's confidence is shot and only getting worse.
This season is done, I am now worried about next season. CLM has put his self in the same situation for next year. Everyone has said that JJ was gonna be the better QB. CLM should have used him this year to groom him for next season, so I guess.. mabe it is too late to play JJ. everyone is saying RS is gonna save LSU, well he had better be better than Teboe when he was a freshman. I see no answer for the future except that the light bulb comes on for Lee. seems unlikely though. TK I also ran that scenero through my head. lol. sadly I have come to the conclusion that CLM is not smart enough to even think of something like that.
Dan, I want you to get all your LSU memorablilia together in a box and burn it because you obviously don't need it anymore...
attack tiger, A question to test your mental capacity. Do you honestly feel that CLM handled the QB situation correctly and did CLM handle the Defensive cord. position correctly? before you answer remember Ryan P was a risk and Hatch is a walk on from Harvard. Answer please
Last year, we flew by the seat of our pants, and a lot of us said that "Lesticles' " luck would run out because you can't keep getting all the breaks. If it weren't for Pitt's fluke win over WVU, we wouldn't have been close to the NC. People forget these things, and this year, flying by the seat of our pants isn't working. We are getting no breaks, and Les seems to be letting on that his coaching is best suited for "getting lucky" (Florida last year) rather than a good, solid game plan. For example, had we run Scott more against UGA, we win, but they get pass happy and Lee throws a pick at the end of the half to blow the momentum out of the stadium.
I think alot of this venting...which I understand. While things are bad any tiger fan out there knows IT COULD BE ALOT WORSE, because it has been RECENTLY!
I wanna answer!!!! QB - Up until now yes he did what needed to be done and even with a switch at QB we still lose the games before tonight. DC - HELL NO NOT EVEN CLOSE!
