Who has Florida played? How do you know they are the best? They could have beat us by 50. We looked horrible against every oppoent this year. Was ULL that good too? Houston did not even have to make a goal line stop to win against Miss St. Georgia was stompped by a bad Tenn. team. We have not shown up to play any game this season. We have the talent to blow everyone out of the water, instead we.................

I think you need the grip on reality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cuss:

This is a stOOpid post. While everyone has a right to say something stupid, I really dont like posts that potentially hurt the program. If sentiment like this finds traction it will hurt morale, it will hurt recruiting and it makes Tiger fans look like dumbasses.

The mods should create an additional forum to which they move all crazy threads. People would still get their say, but in a forum called "posting while drunk" or something.

Hey OP, you pin the blame on JJ at the end of your post but you call for Mile's head. Logic?

You should get an application to coach at LSU if you were happy with any performance this year. Yeah we were 5 - 0 but our coaches managed to make everyone we beat look really good. People like you would still have Hallman or Archer at LSU.

    Everybody's right in some ways.

Playcalling: I saw a lot of drop-backs last night that JJ was simply just afraid to pull the trigger on. That's his achilles heel. That's why he has a very high completion percantage but low YPG and TD and very few INTs.

Which brings me to Quarterbacking: We seem to have gone from one extreme to the other. JL was a fearless gunslinger and for all of his mistakes he was never afraid to back off. Our offense was much better as a result but the pick sixes are game-killers. Now we have the opposite end of the spectrum. We have a QB that is not comfortable taking chances downfield or in tight coverage and our offense staggers as a result. However, we are not simply handing the opposition the victory a'la JL.

Which brings me to coaching: For all of my arguing with Crip about it last season, he was right about one thing. When a player doesn't play to his potential, you bench him for the next best thing. It's the only way they learn that if they do not do what is asked of them, they will not play. IMO, if the coaching staff asks JJ to uncork one, he should do it NO QUESTIONS ASKED. If he trusted the coaches and himself a bit more I believe he could be better than he ever imagined. It's up to the coaches to make him see that....one way or another.

A rant/smack forum has been discussed. Member suggestions should go to Brett--he can't read your minds--but TF is evolving and ideas from the gang are helpful. I like the concept.

true except with qb. you have to bring them along slowly and we all agree that was the reasoning JJ wasnt asked to do much.

but his weaknesses are evident now and he seems to lack the moxy and instincts to get the ball downfield.

can this be corrected? sure but the coaches have to decide if they are willing to lose a few more games with him in there and OJT.

or do they bring in RS or Lee to spell him at times to loosen up the defense.

but it comes at the risk of hurting JJs confidence a bit.

i say he can handle it and you do whats best for the team at this point.

also do a better job of putting JJ in position he feels most comfy. roll-outs and quick slants/screens.

where were those last night? thats on the coaches not JJ.

I'm not ready to jump on the band wagon and advocate a coaching change, but this coaching staff is not immune from legitimate criticism. Some of you need to take off the purple & gold glasses and recognize that this team has significant problems.

I expected us to lose to the Gators last night, particularly with Tebow playing. I suspect we will lose one or two more games this season. That's fine, I can accept that as long as we give our best effort.

I expect to see improvement in all phases of the game in our remaining 6 games.

I guess you wouldn't coach anywhere then.
