Hey LSU Fans.... First, Congrats on winning the SEC...big KUDOS for sure... 1986 tOSU grad here and over the top BUCKEYE fan! Should be a great game and hopefully both teams play their best! It may be just me, but in all of post seasons (and I have been to 4 Rose Bowls, Sugar Bowl (Woody vs Bear), etc., this one seems to be different...maybe I am looking at the wrong forums, but there seems to be a "we vs the world" mentality as if both fans of LSU/OSU are sticking together and saying to everyone else, 'Shut Up and Go Play Your Own Bowl". Don't get me wrong, I can talk smack with the best of them, but at least on BP.com and here, there is far less 'ass fans' than one would suspect... This of course will most likely change as the game gets closer, but is refeshing to see! Go Bucks and Good Luck LSU! KM :crystal:
There's more OSU fans v. the world...Just look at the odds for the game and online polls...There are three things going against OSU right now: 1) Last year's debacle against an SEC team. 2) Lack of quality wins 3) Game being played in the Superdome. Other than that I see where you coming from...I saw ESPN's question if the BCS got right...Only two states said yes (care to guess).
No, it ain't just you and I tire of the talk. The only people who got a real legitimate gripe are those 'other' tigers...
This is what irritates me to no end....these 'quality wins' argument... The Bucks played and beat- at the time- 4 ranked teams Washington (on the road), Purdue (on the road), Wisc., UM(on the road)... Not sure if PSU was ranked at the time, but playing them at night, with their 'white the night', and over 100,000....not quality wins? Last I checked, besides UW, all are in bowls (yeah, I know, not saying much these days, but just saying)... Granted Washington turned out to be horrible this year.... Anyway...I do love all the crap on rivals.com about the Bucks....from those wishing they 'backed into the 1/7/08'! :crystal:
I can see your point of view but I stil think its more SEC Vs. Big 10 (With an underlying Northerners vs Southerners theme). I said in another thread that this is more than just a game now. I have liked the OSU fans here and I would like for it to just be a game but I think now its past that point.
It does seem that way now, but as the dust settles, so will the coaches,players, and even most fans. Kind of an unpredictable year in CFB. So many different teams had their shot at the title. LSU is now getting their 3rd shot at it and I imagine that rankles people if you don't really break down the weakness of everyone else's argument. Fan's rarely do that for their own team(including us). I would not worry about it too much. Going to be plenty of hype over this game, and ultimately everyone will watch. One thing is for sure. After this year, there will no longer be a team with only one BCS trophy. Surely one of us has to win it, right?
Now before you think all is cool with this mayk....Thinking LSU needed to lose against Ark., I was at a party watching the game and gave you guys my famous 'mayk key whammy' on your two point conversion.....and it failed...so I take all credit for that! LOL...forgive me, as wish now you would have won and then you would be firmly #1 and the Bucks would be #2....(Or would have OU snuck in?) :crystal: As much I can not stand (ok, hate (nasty word)) the SEC, I do root for LSU more times than naught, unless you guys are playing the Big Ten.... There is no question though, you guys have some of the best food in the South!!!!
