They are similar in weight, height, age and crazy football skilz. After 2 games DR is getting all the Heisman chatter. I can only imagine what things would be like for us if Les would let JJ and Lee take some time off. Will we ever get the chance to find out????

Well rich rodriguez realizes this is his offense and he is all in with this kid.

Les Miles on the other hand is trying to keep the ball out of Shepards hands as much as humanly possible.

Yeah I agree with you. Les is of the Shembelcher school. Maybe we can swap coaches! R. R. seems more if an SEC/ACC thinker. But although it is a total hypothetical question, is DR REALLY that much more explosive and a better QB than RS???

Robinson is doing great because he has to for Michigan to even have a chance of winning. He will either get hurt or fade out because no one can do this every game, not even Vince Young.

I think Robinson is ahead of Shepard as a QB, from more experience but they are both crazy talented. You can't go wrong with either one. Robinson is doing now what Shepard did in high school.

Denard has done it against two porous defenses. UConn was in the 80s last year in total D and Notre Dame's defense is pretty damn slow. Robinson just flat outran the safety who had the angle on his 90 yard run.

Shepard is NOT a QB, the MI kid is.

I don't think the spread option flies in the SEC.

What were we last week in total D?

C'mon, man, give the dude some props. He'd be great down here, too.

That's why he has 3 TDs in two games? He's got 4 catches and 12 carries, averaging out to 8 touches a game for about 75 all purpose yards per. If he holds on to a few more balls or Jefferson delivers the ball better on some designed plays, he's right around 10 touches per game. What more can he do in such a crowded offense?

You really want Les to force it to Shepard when we're nursing a lead? Should we take touches away from Ridley? Randle? Toliver?

I'd love to see Shep return some punts or kickoffs but aside from that they're using him plenty.

Total D? Pretty bad. But we did hold UNC to 24 yards on the ground. Not sure what LSU's defense has to do with Notre Dame's defense or Michigan's offense, but Robinson does not outrun Peterson, Reid, Mathieu, Eugene, et al. as easily as he did Notre Dame's secondary.

He's a great looking player but he needs to prove it against a better D before I anoint him.
