Just depends on how well your offense communicates offensively with signals, and the proper adjustments. This will be the loudest stadium your team has ever played in, even more so than it was in 2009 when LSU came in to BD.
here's what one of the bama star LBs said about the noise at the Tennessee game last week: "Last Saturday was probably the loudest I've ever heard it since being here. Even when our offense was out there on the field, we were trying to make adjustments on the sideline and I couldn't hear what coach (Kirby) Smart was saying. I was just looking at the whiteboard and reading what he was trying to say." - UA linebacker Dont'a Hightower on the Bryant-Denny Stadium noise during UA's win over Tennessee.
LSU always travels really well to Tuscaloosa. Crowd Noise won't be a factor. We've won 4 of the last 5 games AT Bama.
Lol, ok... Keep telling yourself that... We have made many improvements to this stadium recently... Monitors all over the stadium, and over 102,000 screaming fans in a larger stadium.
I haven't been there since the addition, but I just don't know about that (and I've only been there a few times anyway, so not sure I would notice). The topic of expansion has come up several times on this board, and the engineers usually chime in, saying that even if we closed in both endzones and added 10,000 seats, the stadium would be no louder than it is now. The loud stadiums are loud because of the lower bowls, and the noise from the upper decks never reaches the field. I'll wait for someone smarter than me to confirm or deny, though. Either way, of course noise will be a factor. How big remains to be seen.
Don't believe me? Watch this [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uj7qGuhFVUM]LSU-BAMA ending 2005 - YouTube[/ame] We ended Bama's undefeated season in 2005 and we're gonna do it again in 2011. Notice how the crowd noise doesn't stop after we score the touchdown in OT to win? Normally that'll silence a crowd but it sounds like they keep cheering through. It almost seems as the stadium gets louder when LSU scores. LSU travels well to Tuscaloosa and we always make our presence known.
