BD stadium can get loud. We've done well in other loud venues. We are also 74th in penalties. Will noise contribute to movement or delay of game penalties?
I'm sure it will affect the audibles & such, but I don't expect it to be a huge factor in determining the outcome of the game. I also think the extra week will give the coaches extra time to get these guys ready (especially on the O-line) to not let that be a factor. I'm sure LSU will be practicing with artificial crowd noise in their practice facility.
I've never been to BD stadium. Is there a concentrated seating of LSU fans or are they spread out everywhere?
I think it's atcually gunna effect Bama more than LSU . the big game atmosphere . they have never been on game day and the only big primetime game was Florida . we have had people watch all of our games with the exception on Northwestern St. and Kentucky .
It never has been a factor. The crowd is large in Tuscaloosa, but not boisterous as in Tiger Stadium or the Swamp.
There was a boisterous, loud Oregon contingent in Dallas. There was a rabid, cowbell ringing crowd in Starkville. There was a loud, hopped up crowd in Morganton. There was a loud, 100,000 plus yelling crowd (for the first half anyway) in Knoxville. End result? Tigers won all games going away. I expect no less noise from the Gump faithful. End result? Tigers will win again, going away. There will be a lot of crying in Tuscaloosa on November 5th. I expect the stadium to be loud at the end, too. Loud with the 10,000 LSU faithful who remain after the Bammer fans slink away. The only yelling from anyone in red will be an angry dwarf yelling at his players in their locker room. Or maybe some grumbling from Bammer fans about having hired the wrong coach from LSU? :milesmic::miles::miles: :crystal:
Enjoy your visit to Bryant-Denny this year. As you know we have evolved. No longer will you be entertained by the Bama jumbo-tron monstrosity. In every corner of out crimson clad stadium will be appropriately spaced replay monitors for your viewing convenience. We will be rocking to 102,000 strong. I would say it will be above loud and It was screaming at times against Tennessee. Folks, that will be nothing like the "game of the century" atmosphere LSU will be treated too. "Boisterous" won't do justice to the excitement and electricity coming from everyone fortunate enough to see this one in person on both sides. It will humiliate the feeble attempt of the 108,000 Penn State fans, who were forced to sit on their hands, as they gathered for the great "whiteout."
I agree with this. After we score on the first possession they will be a non factor the rest of the way. They'll get all excited and loud when Richardson blows a fart or gets 3 yrds, then we'll score on the 2nd possession and who knows maybe send some updykes over to Auburn to kill some trees.
