There were already questions about taking plays off and now this. Dude just lost millions with that stunt. Too many good players out there to take a risk with that attitude, at least in the first round. Of course you'll always have your organizations what will draft anyone regardless of what's between their ears so maybe it won't hurt at all. It sure doesn't help him though.
They just discussed this on ESPN. Ex GM Bill Polian said that his stock will dip a bit, but he didn't make it sound like it was a huge deal. He was projected as first overall pick by Kiper, I think he just put himself in the lower half of the first round. A team desperate for an impact player on defense will take that leap of faith with him.
Atlanta Falcons, Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Washington Redskins, San Diego Chargers, Oakland Raiders all raise their hand and say yes.
This. And of course, the teams in that position will have the first 5 picks....which is where the Clown will be selected.
Al Davis would have traded every round to get the first overall pick to get him. Here's my thing on Clowney, he is a freak athlete, I'm just not sure he is worth the risk. All you have to do is frustrate him a little bit and forget it, it's check out time for Jadaveon.
Guy doesn't do anything for me. I've always felt he was overrated. Not to say he isn't good just not the level he's hyped.
Exactly. I remember Suh and further back, Peppers. Imo he's not as good as they were in college. They didn't quit and they had more to lose because there was no rookie salary cap back then. What happened was ESPN has shown the Michigan play so much that now he's "unblockable"... I guess that's true because the only reason the play happened is the guy missed the block...
well you know how it goes when you have that one signature play, and his blowup of that running back last year will forever be seared in the minds of NFL GMs
