Might need to consider an alternate profession, LSU stress is the least of my stresses.

My only point is fans would be a lot happier if they just accept that Les is who he is. The fact is we're not getting rid of him. The fact is that as good as he is at winning games, he has a big problem focusing his team to play teams with lesser talent, and his game day coaching decisions leave much to be desired. It is what it is, and it's nothing new. Is it frustrating after games like Ole Miss? Absolutely. But the older I get, the more I realize that I shouldn't let things outside my control--like what a bunch of 18-21 year old kids do on a football field--influence my fandom or how happy I am in life.

You want to see some context? Take a look at Florida boards these days. It's a carbon copy of our fan base from 2008-2010. They want to ditch a coach who went 11-1 last year, but know they can't because of the image it creates. They see a team bereft of talent in a state that always produces it in abundance, while their two biggest in-state rivals have taken enormous strides. We're nowhere near that level of desperation yet.

@lsudolemite illustrates the exact thing that most on the anti-les side have been saying all along. We, or at least I fully accept who or what les is. I know and have said that he isn't going anywhere. Just pointing out how much better things could be. The other side can say what they want but deep down they know that there are at least 2 more crystal footballs out there that should have LSU engraved on it. The reason, the ONLY reason those footballs are not in an LSU trophy case is none other than the HC.

Maybe I am missing the point, and LSU-I-like maybe I would be happier, I do know that I have accepted the fact that along with all the great stuff Miles does, he comes with on the field gaffes. Every coach has some weakness somewhere.

Miles is certainly a great recruiter. Kids love him. He is a great man, with a ton of passion for his kids and LSU. I greatly respect that about him. He knows how to bring in top athletes who are usually solid kids. I dont mind mistakes and I dont expect perfection. I dont expect BCS or SEC titles every year. However I dont expect my coaches who is one of the most well paid college coaches to repeatedly have an end of the halve or game debacle every week this year.

Things would be a lot better if I had worked for Google in the early 2000's with stock options, or if I won the Powerball drawing last weekend. No point in continuously dwelling on the fact that I didn't.

So if Les is the root of our problems, but he isn't going anywhere, then what do we do about it besides complaining? Boycott ticket and merchandise sales? Stop tailgating? I want to see the anti-Les contingent give us some realistic, tangible solutions to this problem besides bemoaning what might have been.

Heh, I meant you would be happier of those of us who bitch stopped being LSU fans. Would you be happier if everyone was on the bandwagon and everything was hunky-dory? I don't think I'd be happier, I learn a lot from am honest intellectual debate with those I disagree with.

I know what you meant, and maybe you are right. I have no problem with questioning, or criticism, my problem is with the people who are just saying we need to make a coaching change, or we will never win again, people who speak in absolutes are generally narrow minded in my opinion. Obviously there are exceptions to that rule. I just know that I'm satisfied with the current state of LSU football. I'm not happy we lost to Ole Miss, I'm not happy that we lost to Georgia. In fact I think Miles' gaffes aren't our problem right now, it's our defense, and every time we have had issues on either side of the ball The Hat has made changes.
