Look back at last year. Les and staff goes to Il and gets the best player in the state, Ethan Pocic, hes played 4 games this year. Hawkins was the lowest rated OL in his class, now starting at LOT.

Jalen Mills wasn't even the best CB on his Desoto team, the best CB went to Tx. Last time I checked he hasn't made much time on the field. I know Shiro Davis left La to go to UTx, we went and got a kid from Tx and he was the Defensive Player of the week a couple weeks ago. Oh, as bad as the Tx team is, both these guys are doing spot duty. Ut for years has taken top 5* players from the state, whats their record now? They choose from around 400 kids in the state of Tx every year.

We've been getting some of the better kids in La. but remember, you can't sign them all. No one school can. We also go into other states and get their best players. Look at last year, we got top 5 players in the states of IL, Ga, Tn, Ca, Nc, Nj and Fla. I often look at tape of kids and look at what other schools offer. Les and his staff do a better job than most in player development. Also in getting kids more Pro ready, just ask NFL scouts.

In 2009 LSU signed a few DL, the highest rated was a 5 star, two of the lower rated end up bring real good players at LSU. The 3 star guy Bennie Logan did well. The 4* guy only played 2 years and left after his Soph year. He was a 6'6" 250# DE that the staff saw had a frame that could hold weight and not drop speed. Moved inside to DT and like I said, didn't make it into his Jr year, drafted in the 1st round and doing well in the Pros. The player development came into play there, big time.

I could write a page on recruiting, having followed this over the years.

There are lots of things people can bash this staff for, recruiting, players development and getting players Pro ready just are not something others or I see.

I saw a write-up a couple years ago that followed how a class of 5* players did after 4 years. Many never finished with the signing school, many got into trouble with the law, some never panned out. There were some that did well, if I find the article, I'll get a little more info.

I think this guy was a 5* by some services.....

The thing about saban is he doesn't just throw a net over La and hopes for the best, he snipes who he wants and that sucks.

Yep, an I hate the way everyone of them are All-SEC and All-Americans. Everyone is a first round pick. That's the thing I hate.

Oh don't you worry, it will be because Saban lost, not because Les won.

But if Les wins with Nick's players, wouldn't Saban be losing to his own players?

Then Les would lose control of Saban's players that Saban lost to.
