The Arkansas game is one that worried me before the season started, so I never had it penciled in as a win. Having said that, though, much of it was based on what I perceived to be their strength versus our weakness, pass offense versus pass defense. It's looking more and more like that plays to our advantage, so I'm actually feeling better about this game as the season progresses. Either way, though, they are still a dangerous team who can beat anybody in a shoot-out.
I worry about this game because Arkansas' offense can put up a lot of points on the board and LSU's offense is anemic. The Tigers will have to score with the Piggies and I'm not real confident they can. It's almost like 2007 when Arky's offense led by McFadden scored seemingly every possession and the Tigers had to match them and ultimately didn't. The defense can only be expected to hold Ryan Mallett and the Piggies down for so long. If the offense doesn't show up it could be a very long day for the Tigers. I hope I'm off base because losing to Arky three straight years is unacceptable.
Maybe so, but Arkansas is dead last in the league in total defense, and second to last in scoring defense. They won't be difficult to score on.
i wouldn't be so sure of that. Regardless its the SEC. Anything can happen on any Saturday in the SEC. I just hope that Miles lights a fire under this teams ass and expresses the fact that he has never lost to any team 3 years in a row since being at LSU.
You must not have heard, they had a bad practice today.....so it is now a win again. It's 6 weeks away, so this thread will probably have 489 "lead changes" between W and L.
Is the Arkansas game still gonna be a predicted win for LSU ? All I know is that we play Auburn this week...and that better be what the coaches and team are thinking.!twocrystals!.
Whatever dude, it could be played on thanksgiving or on sunday, I'll still worry about Arky the week leading up to the game against Arky, not a month before that game and before playing the barners.
I think we are better than they are overall but we are going to have to score some. I don't think we can totally shut down Lurch, UF couldn't. The dude isn't a run threat but he moves around pretty good in the pocket to avoid pressure and I've seen him carve up a few teams. In fact he was making UF's life miserable until pressure time when he had a chance to beat them and then he started to miss some open receivers. Hopefully he tightens up some in big games but the guy HAS an arm. We NEED to get pressure on Lurch!!!:miles:
