You exaggerate. We are in the BCS Top-10 at mid-season. One loss to the #1 team. We are three wins away from beating last seasons record. We are going to win those three, maybe four or five. We are not regressing. Any disappointment at 9-3 to 10-2 is based on unreasonable pre-season expectations.
i think he meant our play was regressing not our win loss record. You can sugarcoat it all you want with the record this year, and the record last year, and the rank this year and the rank last year, but you cannot deny that the offense is down right putrid.
Ni such thing as a sure win or loss with this team. We can beat anyone or lay an egg and lose. Guess I will keep on having heart attacks
Thank you, its nice to see not everyone is delusional. Too many here are seeing everything through purple and gold lenses. Im sick of the crap well we 5-1 and ranked in the top ten. Yeah those are both excellent accomplishments. Lets look at the wins we do have. Washington, Vandy, ULL, Miss St, and UGA are all crappy or avg teams. LSU struggled to win EACH game. We were a pitch away, rather than a keeper from losing to Miss St. I can understand you will struggle from time to time. I know you cant bring your A game all the time and sometimes your opponent will bring theirs when you slip. Thats fine, its part of the game. The fact is though that LSU has never brought more than a C game. We are yet to put together a freakin good half of football. That $hit wont fly with the upcoming games when we are playing predominantly good teams who will be bowling. Say what you want about all this crap about being 5-1, our current play wont cut it in the upcoming games. Like Ive said many times I can accept a loss is the other team is truly better that day. The fact is though LSU has been outplayed every game so far. We are 5-1 only based on talent alone. In the coming games the talent level will be more even. UF was far from their best and we lost because of Tebow. Why because the talent level was equal. Its time to change things up. You can try all you want to fit the square in the circle but it wont work out. If a player cant produce sit their a$$ down and try someone else. Instead we gonna ride them to the ground like Lee and McCray last year. Say what you want but the coaches arent making adjustments this year. We see the same plays that arent working. The same formations. Its time to try new things. Its also time to let Shepard get some touches at WR and RB. Its time to give Lee an opportunity at game time. There is no reason for the ridiculous penalties. Because I criticized doesnt mean I dont enjoy watching LSU. It just means I have a passion and want the best for my team. It also means I dont see everything in purple and gold.
As long as they keep score it's the only stat that matters. A lot of the fear is perception. LSU is better than last year due to defense. As long as we score more than the opponent, we are fine. BUT SABANFAN! ARE YOU SAYING OUR OFFENSE IS NOT BAD? No. I'm saying we can outscore the other team as long as we get solid defensive and special teams play. The offense will come along and by year end be much improved. BUT SABANFAN, OUR OFFENSE IS ONLY GETTING WORSE! No, the competition is getting stronger. We'll be fine. you obviously arent referring to the ability of the LSU D to pressure the QB. Arky will score 30 pts if LSU cant pressure him. how often do you get a haircut?
Did UF, the #1 team, Not stuggles vs Tenn, LSU and ARK? Name a team in the top 10 that has played perfect..... None. yea LSU has issues, so does every other team in CFB.
If anything, UT, UF and Bama have REAL issues. Bama's O isnt that great, but they have a great D. UF is not great on O either. Their last 3 games havent been that great. Bama's D slipped up on KU and gave up over 300 yrds to them and if it werent for KU's 4 turnovers, KU could have made things sticky.. I do not need to talk about UT kus they just don't look so hot. No team does at this point. IMO, everyteam in the top 10 has to work on things. I highly doubt, LSU can get any worse on O. We know our D is improving, but far from perfect, yet GOOD enough to win every game. Just have faith man. Faith is part of being a fan too. Winning against all odds. LSU BABY!
