We have all heard the old "anything is possible" line. But is it really? Could a team that lost 92-0 to "nobody" have any hope of beating Bama? I can't even imagine what either coach is thinking. N. Texas......ok guys. If we play our very very best, we can win this game. Gotta be mistake free. Don't let the crowd intimadate you. They put their pants on one leg at a time. Just like us. Play smart. Bama's not that good. You can do it. (or does he want to use the non-starters to prevent injuries so that they can finish the season) Saban....OK guys....quit laughing. Get serious now or you'll be running the stadium steps. You know they have some players there. They will be coming in angry after last week. They just overlooked last week's opponent cause they have us in their sights. It's been marked on their callender all year. They feel like they have something to prove. Or is he thinking... How much is enough? I don't want to try to "top" 92 points. But I want the pollsters respect too. Will I catch flack if we win 53-0? I certainly don't want an injury here. WOW:grin:
I asked earlier if this was the team out of Texas that got beat 92-0 last week. Someone replied saying that it was. Now, I just don't know.
Its not. North Texas is playing Bama which is 1-1, they are in Denton Texas. The Mean Green (about 20 minutes from where I live). Their coach is the old Southlake Carroll coach and were frequent visitors to the New Orleans Bowl. Bama will flat out hammer them but is not the same team. Also the team that put up 92 points was SFA (Stephen F. Austin) of the Southland Conference (Same conference NSU, Nichols, SLU are in) out of east central Texas. The Lumberjacks. They beat a team 92-0. So not only is it NOT the same team, SFA won 92-0 not get beat by that. Hope that helps.
Hey Col, here's what I wrote in the other thread, message #4. Notice the name of the team that lost 92-0. It was not N. Texas, it was Texas College.
that is correct, Tom Dodge was McElroys coach in HS. They seem to think around here that gives UNT an advantage. Bama is up by 35 at half. Dodge has made this team a little better and the UNT QB is his son, who has some game (Had an offer from UT to play WR so he can play).
