I know most of you here probably could care less. But here in Columbus on a local radio show that Herbie is a Co-host on, he said he regretted ever letting that story out. But also said that he got the news from a very reputable source from within the Michigan athletic dept. He said his mistake was letting some of the people at ESPN hear this story. He never intended on telling anyone especially on the day of the SEC CG. With that said, I have no doubt that on the day that was reported it was the truth.
Sounds like you are stirring the same pot herbie let get cold. ...and what exactly is that? I think because of what happen to herbie, media sharks think they can use that as acceptable reporting. You dont have to go too far down to lose the light in the scum pond!
Sorry...I don't buy it! Everybody in the media wants to be the first to break the story. In fact, it's often so bad that they'll state opinions as fact and if they're wrong they blame an "undisclosed" source. Could that "undisclosed" source be the guy in his head? Probably so. The media has very little credibility because of these constant fabrications. Getting the story first has become more important than getting it right. Herbie is just another in a long line of ambulance chasers.
did he ever say that seated behind the espn desk? didn't turn out to be "too" reputable, did it? wtf???? he works for espn, gets paid by espn, HE BROKE THE STORY, DIDN"T HE? i think he could have cared less if it was the day od the seccg, pearl harbor day, les miles' birthday, or christmas day, he just wanted to "scoop" the story. hmm....sure, and I love you, the check's in the mail, and i won't *** in your mouth.
I have no idea, I don't watch enough of ESPN. It was on a local ESPN channel though. Like I said before, I have no doubt the story WAS true. Yes he did, but did not want to. There is a difference between wanting to and being told to. If you are talking about ESPN I totally agree with you. But I believe Herbie is a true College Football fan, and wouldn't do anything to hurt any players on the field. umm, ok. I love you too?
For what it is worth and from this old Tiger - I never thought of ESPN or any of its talking heads as actual reporters and always considered their statements to be nothing but opinion. Frankly (and I know it is just me and no one else here or in any other fan base) but when Herbie is talking on TV now, I just mute the sound - I can't stand to hear his voice.
Man these guys need to find another profession. Or a life, or both...they need to get over themselves. Its NOT going to happen, they need to move on!!! Problem with these guys is they think everyone lies like they do... :tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye:
