Auburn...and it ain't too close. But it's getting closer for Bama. Total arrogant fanbase, absolutely NO respect for LSU even after LSU has owned them the past decade...and past two years. The very fact that...after an amazing game last week...Tidefans refused to allow any LSU fans to post ANYTHING, with promise of suspension if you did, has made this a MUCH closer race. TexasTigers apparently didn't read that thread at the top of their board. I got suspended a few weeks ago because I dared to post some factual evidence regarding JJ and the arrest. It was labeled "ignorant sparring", but I wasn't the 'ignorant' one by definition. I was the only one with facts. My suspension was lifted prior to the LSU/Bama game, but the fact that they disallowed LSU posters this week so they could freely make up conspiracies about punts hitting camera wires and Honey Badger punching Dre in the head, calling for his immediate ejection from college football without any facts being allowed have soured me on the place. And Tide-HSV, I'm sure you'll see this and suspend or ban me from Tidefans. If you do, I don't care. If you don't, I don't care. Your forum has become a sad place to be anyway. Sad that no voice of dissention is allowed, even rational ones. I understand not allowing smack, but this is ridiculous. You should be banned from this site for your silly moderating tactics on Tidefans. After all, you even admitted to me that your issue with me was something I posted HERE...YEARS AGO! Pitiful.
Tidefans is a joke like the gump fan base. Like their program, that site is a waste of time even recognizing it. Mr. HSV is a joke admin who obviously has the brain pan of Forrest gump... Bama isn't worth hating that much, hell their irrelevant as far as I'm concerned. Hope they enjoy thrill Sugar Bowl.
Growing up in Tampa, I have a life long hatred of the Gators. They have always been arrogant, even before they won any SEC Championships. The recent winning makes them completely unbearable. AMAB & Auburn are both arrogant, but in different ways. (Full disclosure: I have two brothers who are Auburn graduates and a son who is there now on full scholarship--money does talk.) AMAB fans act as if winning is their birthright. As evidence, I give you AMAB play-by-play announcer, Eli Gold, after their recent win over Texas in the BCSNCG: "The world is spinning correctly on its axis again; the Crimson Tide are national champions." Gives you a pretty good idea of where the AMAB fan arrogance comes from. Auburn fans act as if, no matter what happens on the field, they are superior people. They talk alot about the Auburn Creed, and other types of moral superiority. None of this can be backed up relative to other schools. This explains why Auburn fans will attempt to justify the 2001 incidents based on stories about burned van "tails" and footballs thrown at that day's Tiger Walk. (Never mind that you shouldn't be surprised when someone in the home crowd takes offense that you are treating their home stadium as if you own the place.) Both can be incredibly annoying, but teams like this Tiger team make living in this place a lot more bearable. GEAUX TIGERS
For me is Florida, I can't stand the talk of Tebow being 1 of the top 5 players ever in the NCAA. I always tell people who say that as a starter he won 1 SEC title,1 BCS title,1 Heisman not 4.
I don't fully agree. Tidefans USED to be a great place to talk football. The Saban hire fired it up...both ways...but that was a blip on the radar. What killed it, IMO, was Bama's resurgence and BCSNC in 2009. Suddenly, a program and a fanbase that never had a reason to be anything other than proud became TOO proud. They seem to believe that no other team is worthy of acknowledgment, with the possible exception of PSU...which is funny. They have a rich heritage and tradition, but to them...LSU is 'new money'. Nevermind LSU is one of the top 15 programs historically regarding wins. They act as if prior to Saban, LSU was a never has been. LSU was down, but LSU has it's own history. I dunno what the heck is up with HSV. He wasn't like this is the past...not to this point. Yes, they've always run a tighter ship there than most other forums, but it's full blown ridiculous now. No dissention allowed. Auburn still my most hated. (topic restored...:hihi
