IRS targeting of Conservative groups

the director of the tax exempt organization division is indeed a mid level management position. she was not appointed by any politician, no one knew her name before last week.

 

Read this NC and rethink your dismissal of "mid level" bureaucrats as nobodies. They wield huge power and have little to answer to or for. Whether she had a political appointment or not she has power to profoundly effect the political atmosphere.

I think you misunderstood me, or perhaps I wasn't clear enough. I do not doubt the power and reach of a mid-level bureaucrat. In fact, just last week I said as much. What I was pointing out to our friend Mancha that this does not involve the President or any member of the administration. No, as I have said to you before, I fear the "man behind the curtain" bureaucrats way more than the elected politicians.

Lerner will now only testify on the condition she is given immunity... so still think she did nothing wrong?

Is this the best that you guys can come up with on this "scandal?" I mean, when this whole thing started out you guys were damn sure that this would rise to the level of Watergate, that heads would roll and that it was only a matter of time before it was learned that the seeds of corruption originated directly from the White House. Boehner was in front of the camera's stating, "I don't want to know whose going to resign, I want to know who's going to prison."

Then, Issa and his committee get outed from withholding important facts about the case in order to advance their "scandal" in the news in an attempt to build a case against the administration.

Now, you guys say it's about Lois Lerner? Geez.......this is a wild goose chase and nothing better. Worse, it shows just how fucking desperate the Republican party has become.
